T.C. Steele or by his real name is Theodore Clement Steele is my famous Hoosier. He is famous because he is a scenery painter.
T.C. was born in Owen County, IN. September 11, 1847. He lived in Waveland, IN for a long time since childhood.
His father died when he was a child. T.C. had to take more care of the family. He had to start plowing the farm. When he would plow the farmhe would tie different colored ribbons to the plow. To see them fly in the air.
He went to college at Prep School, Waveland Collegiate Institute. When T.C was in college, he painted portraits of people that wanted a picture of them or a family member or friend.
