I found the chapter 20 There is No God but Allah, and Muhammad is His Prophet very interesting to read. I’ve had previous knowledge about the Islamic Religion and the Arab people past of advances of mathematics in history when I was deployed to Kuwait but this chapter was shortly informative overall about the religion and past accomplishments on the Arab people. Although I don’t agree with the teachings of Muhammad I found the chapter interesting to read about the history of the birth of the Islam and the development of chemistry and algebra.
As a Christian myself I believe that there is only one God and that Jesus is the child of God. That being said I don’t believe in the prophet Muhammad who was said to have come to teach the way of the Lord. I also I don’t agree on Muhammad’s teaching instructing that people should pray five times a day facing the holy city Mecca. In the Bible it is said that we as Christians should pray to God at all times continuously communicating to him. The last topic I do not agree with is having to take a pilgrimage traveling to the holy city Mecca once a year. In the Bible it tells us that when Jesus died on the Cross he created an open communication between God and us in which we don’t have to go to a certain place or have a certain person to be able to have communication with the Lord or to talk to Him and feel His presence we are able to do this ourselves. Although I do not agree with the teachings of Islam taught by Muhammad I did find the part of the chapter where they discussed the advancements on the Arabs ability to turn Roman numbers into our current number system we use today and also came up with words such as Algebra and Chemistry and also there beauty they brought to their palaces and mosques with intricate and interlacing patterns which developed to be called arabesques. We gained many things from the Arab people in the

1.in Eager Sellers and Stony Buyers : Understanding the Psychology of New Product Adoption the Author Provides 4 Categories of Innovatives Products. in Which Category Would You Place Golflogix’s Distance Only Caddie? Why?

...There are 4 categoreis of innovations: Easy Sells, Sure Failures, Long Hauls and Smash Hits. I would place GolfLogix’s distance only xCaddie in the category of Smash Hits because it offer greater benefits over traditional low-tech solutions while requiring minimal behavior change of golfers. The Distance Only xCaddie offers GPS readings for distance by combining GPS system and golf course maps. It offers benefits that ten times better than existing low-tech solutions like yardage markers and sprinkler heads. First, it offers better golf experience by knowing the exact distance to the green, golfers were more likely to choose the appropriate club, leading to more accurate shots and lower scores. Second, it improved pace of play by eliminating the need to search for yardage markers or sprinkler heads. Thirdly, the GolfLogix system was affordable for all types of courses. Fourth, the xCaddie is easy and small to carry. When not being used, the xCaddie could be clipped to the golfer’s belt or bag. Fifth, it has ease of intallation by making the system operational required no effort on the part of couse personnel without interfering with normal course operations. Undoudtedly, the distance only system offers much greater benefits over existing low-tech solutions. Moreover, the distance only xCaddie also minimizes behavior change of golfers. ...REQUIRED 1 Protoboard 1 DVM 1 Logic Probe 1 74LS00, 74LS02, 74LS08, 74LS32 2 each 1kΩ resistors INTRODUCTION The NOT circuit or inverter performs the basic logic function of complementation. It may be identified by the presence of a bubble on the input or the output of the traditional logic symbol or a triangle on the IEEE/IEC logic symbol as seen in Figure 1. The inverter has one input and one output and the output is the complement of the input. Figure 1 contains the truth table for the NOT function. LOGIC DIAGRAM TRUTH TABLE A Q 0 1 1 0 FIGURE 1 All logic gates have two or more inputs and one output. These logic gates accept digital logic levels on their inputs and will provide a digital logic level output which is dependent on the type of logic gate and the inputs applied to the gate. For the TTL logic family, any gate input that is not connected will be treated as if a logic 1 is present on that input. The number of different possible combinations of inputs is 2n where n is the number of inputs. Therefore, four unique combinations of inputs are possible for a two input gate. A B Q 0 0 1 1 FIGURE 2 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 1 The AND function is similar to the multiplication in mathematics, and provides a logic 1 output only when all the inputs of the gate are at logic 1, and logic 0 output for all other input combinations. Figure 2 contains the logic symbols and truth table for the AND function. The Boolean Equation for a 2 input AND gate, the Boolean Equation is: Q = AB <1> Page...
