A project submitted to the Mr. Ronel E. Asas of the Department of Computer Studies, Imus Campus, Cavite State University, Imus, Cavite in partial fulfillment of the final requirements for the subject ITEC55- System Analysis and Design.

INTRODUCTION
Preschool is a time for developing good learning habits and positive self-esteem. The skills learned at this stage may seem simple but it will set a preschooler for a lifetime of learning. People around them must be aware that they are still trying to figure out the world and everyone must understand them for being distracted and unfocussed with their tutorials.
The tutorial is designed to provide opportunities for users to learn essential information. (Meade,2011)
Learning from preschool software can start as soon as children can effectively handle a mouse. Usually, around three or four years of age, preschoolers can readily spend up to a half an hour per day on the computer. Children like the independence and stimulation of interacting with computerize activities. If they are able to use a mouse, that was an indication that they are ready to get started.
While using a computerize tutorial, children would not just sit and watch; they will laugh, learn, participate and explore. Parents will see smiles and hear giggles. It is an indication that their children are having fun and when their child start talking about habitats and tertiary colors, a parent will know that it is more than just fun.
This tutorial is for children age’s three to five. It features the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors and animals that would be introduce to them in a creative way. The lessons are interactive and engaging, with simple verbal directions, appealing graphics and some great music. It also has activities to make sure that children would learn their lessons. This will build preschoolers recognition and comparison skills through computerize learning activities and lessons. This could also help children improve their skills and knowledge for the preparation of their entrance to nursery school.
At the present time, a kid learning laptops already exist to help preschoolers improve their knowledge while enjoying at the same time. Those learning laptops can be seen from different malls and market.
The latest digital product which is similar to the learning laptops is the i7 children’s computer. It is a new high-tech digital product and at present, it is the only electronic early education product. Aside from those learning computers, there are also tutorial services offered online. Parents would just have to spend money for those technologies.
Statement of the Problem
Some of parents do not have enough time for their children’s tutorial because of being busy to work. Because of the limited time they have, conducting a tutorial is not an easy thing. Children on preschool age also get a hard time on focusing a certain activity and that also makes a manual tutorial harder for parents. How to lessen the parent’s difficulty in conducting a manual tutorial for their preschool children? (See Appendix 1)
Children age’s three to five wants the comfort to be with their parents most of the time. Parents do not take it negatively because a child during that age truly needs a lot of guidance that comes from them. But still, a preschool child must slowly learn being not too dependent. It can help them adjust for their entrance to school. One of the things a parent can do is to allow their child to explore by themselves and make them conduct a certain activity on their own. How do parents can prepare their child in entering the nursery school? (See Appendix 2)
Children span of attention and the ability to focus on a task are too short that is why it is hard for them to focus on their lessons. That was the reason why parents are having difficult times in teaching them. It would also require the parents to spend more time for their children tutorials. How to get the interest of the children for their tutorial lesson? (See Appendix Figure 3)
Importance of the Study
The development of this tutorial for preschoolers could benefit a lot of people.
This system could be a great help especially for parents who are having a hard time during their children’s manual tutorial. This computerized tutorial could make it easier for parents to convince their child to study and help minimize their time and energy being wasted because of the children’s inability to focus on their lessons and minimize the parent’s hard time on conducting a manual tutorial.
For preschoolers, this tutorial could help improve their skills visually and verbally. This could be a good foundation of the knowledge of preschoolers who is just about to develop their mental abilities.
For the researchers, this tutorial could enhance their programming skills and weaknesses in coding and debugging. They will also learn new languages that could add to their current skills. Developing this system could also teach disciplines and could prepare the researchers for more upcoming thesis.
Lastly, for the future researchers, the system will serve as a reference that could guide them throughout their research. This would also help them develop the current tutorial system in case they wanted to improve it and have an additional features.

Objective of the Study
Generally the study aimed to develop a computerized, creative and interactive tutorial for preschoolers.
Specifically it aims to:
1. Gather information by conducting an interview with the possible future user.
2. Analyze the data collected using a method of brain storming between the researchers.
3. Design software using Visual Basic 6.0, Adobe Flash CS 5 and Adobe Photoshop CS.5
4. Develop a system using PhpMyAdmin as database.
5. Test the functionality and efficiency of the system
6. To implement by giving the user a free demonstration and usage of the system.

Time and Place of the Study
This study is conducted on first semester (June 2013) to (October 2013) at the Cavite State University-Imus Campus as a completion of the requirement of the subject in ITEC-55 System Analysis and Design.

Scope and Limitation
Introduction Module This module includes the introduction of the user and all the characters used. At the beginning of the tutorial, before the user enter and view the different features it offers, users have to input their name on a textbox and click the ok button provided. After that, the characters are going to welcome the user, at the same time will introduce themselves. The researchers use audios and set of instructions assigned on the characters to make this tutorial more interactive.
Instruction Module The character is the one assigned on this module, they are going to give instructions to the users on what they are going to do on a certain activity or lesson through audios and texts. This will help them on what function should they use; do they have to click the object or drag it. Once the user transferred from one activity to another they have to click on the character for the audio of an instruction.
Topic Module At the main menu, the user can freely choose between the five topics and focus on that. Once the users have chosen their topic, another frame will show up giving an option for the available lessons, activity, and video.
Option Module The users has an option to proceed to the next frame and see what it offers or just go back to the main menu and see the other set of choices. In order for them to access the option module, they have to choose and click the button, whether the main menu, home, a certain topic, a particular lesson or next frame.

This tutorial system does not have log-ins and a parental control, it means that a parent does not have the power to manage the usage of this tutorial including the time management but the parents can make sure that their children will only focus on their computerize tutorial because of its creative and eye catching presentation.
The tutorial does not have database to save the score of the children in every activity but it displays the score of the user.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDY

Adobe Photoshop CS5
It is a graphics editing application popular for its extensive amount of features. Photoshop is also, currently, the leading graphics editing application.
Photoshop is also image creation software as well as an editor. Photoshop can create any effect or style needed in a drawing or painting or layout. There are graphic software that can do specialized work faster and more efficient than Photo shop (such as painter for realistic paint effects), but Photoshop can do it all in one program.
The basics of Photoshop are easy to learn, even the CS versions. They are very intuitive, and there are several ways to do almost everything to work with an individual's style of drawing and skill level yet you can spend years learning all the pro level features. Photoshop works by altering individual pixels in an image as opposed to a vector drawing program that draws with points, lines and objects mathematically. Photoshop is best with images that have complex textures, blends and photo realism, but Photoshop is also very good at vector drawing as long as the image doesn't need to be scaled and you don't need specialized CAD drawing tools.

Adobe Photoshop CS5 is the latest version of arguably the world's most popular pro image editor. (Dustin Sklavos, 2010)

It is used by the researchers for editing and designing the background images of the tutorial to make it more creative and suitable for the system.

Adobe Flash Professional CS5
It is the successor of a software product known as Future Splash Animator, a vector graphics and vector animations program released in May1996. Future Splash Animator was developed by Future Wave, a small software company whose first product, Smart Sketch, was a vector-based drawing program for pen-based computers. In 1995, the company decided to add animation capabilities to their product and to create a vector-based animation platform for the World Wide Web; hence Future Splash Animator was created. Initially, the only way to deploy such animations on the web was through the use of Java platform; however, the Java platform was later replaced with the Netscape's plug-in architecture. The Future Splash animation technology was used on several notable websites such as MSN, the official The Simpsons website and Disney Daily Blast of The Walt Disney Company.
In December 1996, Macromedia bought Future Wave and so re-branded and released Future Splash Animator as Macromedia Flash v1.0. In 2005, Adobe Systems acquired Macromedia; subsequently, in 2007, Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, the next version of Macromedia Flash was released.
It is used in the system development for making buttons, designing, and making animation such as putting audios on the character and enabling some images or objects to have a movement.

YouTube Converter/Downloader/Player
The YTD YouTube Converter/Downloader/Player is free software that allows you to download YouTube videos, Facebook Video, Google Video, Yahoo Video (and many others) and convert YouTube videos to other video formats.
The program is very easy to use: All you need to do is add the URL for the video you want to download and click the Download button! Our free software acts as a YouTube video converter for Ipad, Ipod, Iphone, PSP, Cell Phone (3GP), Windows Media (WMV), XVid and MP3.
In order for the researchers to attach a sound or an audio to a button or stage they must first convert it into an mp3 or WAV format. Using Youtubue Downloader, the group will be able to put the audios an its appropriate button, stage, or animation.

Gantt Chart
It is a type of bar chart, developed by Henry Gantt in the 1910s, that illustrates a project schedule. Gantt charts illustrate the start and finish dates of the terminal elements and summary elements of a project. Terminal elements and summary elements comprise the work breakdown structure of the project. Some Gantt charts also show the dependency (i.e. precedence network) relationships between activities. Gantt charts can be used to show current schedule status using percent-complete shadings and a vertical "TODAY" line as shown here.
Gantt charts have become a common technique for representing the phases and activities of a project work breakdown structure (WBS), so they can be understood by a wide audience all over the world. The technique is frequently used in Project Management to help breakdown the project.
A common error made by those who equate Gantt chart design with project design is that they attempt to define the project work breakdown structure at the same time that they define scheduled activities. This practice makes it very difficult to follow the 100% Rule. Instead the WBS should be fully defined to follow the 100% Rule,[6] then the project schedule can be designed.
Although a Gantt chart is useful and valuable for small projects that fit on a single sheet or screen, they can become quite unwieldy for projects with more than about 30 activities. Larger Gantt charts may not be suitable for most computer displays. A related criticism is that Gantt charts communicate relatively little information per unit area of display. That is, projects are often considerably more complex than can be communicated effectively with a Gantt chart.(Manktelow & Carlson, 2005)

...------------------------------------------------- Thesis Writing: A Guide for Students By Jennifer Swenson The Sparrow’s introduction to thesis writing is a clear-cut and comprehensive tool for those who are about to embark on one of the more difficult projects in all of academia. Thesis writing is not an art; rather, it is the product of many months of research and painstaking hard work. Whether you are writing a master’s thesis, a PhD thesis, or any other form of this venerable genre, I hope this guide will serve you well. Thesis Writing Background What is a thesis? A thesis is essentially a research report. It addresses a very specific issue and describes what is known about that issue, what work the student has done to investigate or resolve it, and how that issue may play out in the future. It is the thesis writer’s responsibility to familiarize her with the history of the issue and the different points of view that exist. The thesis writer works with a mentor who is an expert in the field that the thesis concerns, but not necessarily an expert on that exact topic. Usually thesis topics are so specific that very few people in the world except the thesis writer herself could be considered an expert on them. Your thesis writing will make a contribution to the field about which you are writing, and in a larger sense, to all of human knowledge. Thesis Statement

...The thesis statement that I have come up with for my “big idea” topic is: I believe we can better our economy by changing the way the government assists the citizens financially with programs such as food stamps, otherwise known as EBT. The government shapes society and the government needs to help society help themselves by making a few changes to the way it disburses our tax money. I think this thesis is going to be effective because it shows my main focus of the essay I will be writing, which is to change the way government assists families of low income. I want to stress the option of giving more money as school grants rather than giving it for food. Another option would also be limiting the options of foods that are okay to purchase with EBT. Right now, there are no limitation other than alcohol or pre-prepared foods. You can even purchase energy drinks at the moment. If people weren’t given everything for doing nothing, they may be more likely to further their education and get a better job to provide such luxuries as fatty foods or sweets and energy drinks. I see a major problem supporting this thesis with fallacy, mainly because I have such strong personal opinions. I am going to have to force myself to rely on straight facts and pure research to get my point across. For my research, I am going to stray away from any sort of blogs or websites put up as a riot against the government. I will do my best to find websites that are “.org” or .gov”. I think a good...
