The results identified four “S”s of workplace fun factors, namely: (1) Staff-oriented workplace fun, (2) Supervisor-oriented workplace fun, (3) Social-oriented workplace fun, and (4) Strategy-oriented workplace fun. ...name. We have chose “Fun-dae” to replace “Jubbly” because we think that it is more emotive and inspiring. The word fun because we want the customers to have fun during and after eating the ice-cream. Futhermore, we think that “fun-dae” is short, punchy and memorable. Short and punchy name is a must to grab the customers’ attention. Fun-dae is a unique name and we have high expectation that this ice confection will be a hit. TAGLINE “HAVE FUN EVERYDAY WITH FUN-DAE” This new tagline will replace the old one that is “Lovely Jubbly”. We put the word “everyday” because we want the customer to eat it everyday. As this tagline is simple , we want the tagline be the people’s talk and when to have fun they will find “fun-dae”. DESIGN The design for the logo is also given a fresh image that goes well with the current generation’s trend. PRODUCT RANGE The original flavours such as orange , tropical , strawberry , blackcurrant, will remain as part of Fun-dae. We will add few new flavours that will be announced soon. ...Introduction The American Heritage Dictionary defines fun as “a source of enjoyment, amusement or pleasure”. Imagine working for a company for more than 40 hours a week with a team of introverts. This may sound great to individuals who may have found refuge in isolation, but it comes at a cost for the company. Hodge-Cronin & Associates conducted survey of 737 CEO’s. The survey revealed that 98% of this group “preferred job candidates with a sense of humor to those without” (Rau-Foster, 2000). Can fun really make that much of a difference? Can fun make a company rank #1 for best company to work for? Dr. David Abramis has been researching and studying the topic for years now. “He’s discovered that people who have fun on the job are more creative, more productive, better decision-makers and get along better with co-workers. They also have fewer absentee, late, and sick days than people who aren’t having fun” (Rau-Foster, 2000). Explanation CNN Money has ranked Google as #1 for the “100 Best Companies to Work For” for 2013. Why is this? In 2006, Genentech a company that makes medicine that fights cancer, was ranked #1. Employee’s working for Genentech stated, “What’s better than being a valued member of a cancer-fighting team? Having a great time while you’re at work” (CNN Money, 2006). This company had a 5 percent turnover rate and 20 percent job growth. Now remember the year 2006! Google was on the bottom of this list in 2007. This leaves many people wondering how Google climbed...

...Management: Ethics & Tactics Highlight the management theories or principles of each reading, submit 2 pages with your interpretations: This week, we learn that resonant managers zero in on employee emotions, feelings and attitudes. The “soft side” of management is important, it is important to manage both your emotions and the emotions of your subordinates. In Toxic Emotions at Work, the author recognizes that there are times when organizations and leaders cause pain. This pain can be either intentional or unintentional. Frost says, “organizations by their very nature create a regular supply of emotional pain” (p. 245). Compassionate managers need skills to be efficient toxin handlers. Paying attention to the types of questions and musing over how individuals or the organization would answer is a great start to acknowledging emotional toxicity and pain. Organizations need to strive to increase capacity for compassionate responses within the culture. Kenneth Blanchard and Spencer Johnson offer The One Minute Manager. They do not believe that good management takes a lot of time, they base this assumption on these underlying premises: “quality of time spent with subordinates is more important than quantity; and in the end, people should really be managing themselves” (p. 270). The three strategies they recommend are one-minute goals, one-minute praisings, and one-minute reprimands. The authors admit that managers have to sincerely care about the people under...

...The director’s vision of the production of Die Fledermaus was “revenge in fun is fun”. Specific moments in the play where this was supported were in act one when Falke convinces Eisenstein to go to Prince Orlofsky’s ball. Falke has planned to get revenge on Eisenstein for humiliating him after a party. Falke is having fun plotting his revenge and this is portrayed by Falke’s demeanor toward Eisenstein. Falke is cheerful and excited when he finally convinces Eisenstein to put off jail until morning and go to the ball with him. Another specific moment that revenge is portrayed as fun is when Rosalinda is having fun at the ball flirting with her husband, all the while Eisenstein has no idea this is his wife. She steals his pocket watch so that she can reveal later that it was her that he was flirting with. All of this, revenge on Esinstein, was being done to entertain the Prince. The idea that Falke was getting revenge on Eisenstein while at a ball that was meant to be fun and entertaining is another element that the director was envisioning “revenge in fun is fun”. The director’s concept of an “Austrian pastry” was visually conveyed by the pastel lighting, as well as the light and happy music. The costumes of the characters conveyed fluffy and sweet because of the type of fabric that was used and the colors of the fabrics. Some of the costumes had glitter which brings to mind sugar. The costumes were also bouncy and swingy illustrating “light and fluffy”. The set was brightly...

That makes them easier to live with and less likely to be given up. The activities help people get in touch with one another to share information. That also helps people to learn about dogs, to avoid problems, and to solve them in a healthy way. The activities provide exercise in a fun way that boosts the relationship. ...visited. The stores either didn’t have his size or the right style and color. After spending hours searching and getting no where he went home shoeless. Swinmurn attempted to shop online for the shoes he wanted. He couldn’t believe there wasn’t a site that offered a huge variety of shoes. This inspired him to create a site that he envisioned that had a big selection of different size, styles and colors of name brand shoes (“In The Beginning - Let There Be Shoes”, n.d.). Things do happen for a reason. Because he was unable to find the shoe he wanted, Zappos was created. The billion dollar company is now one of the largest online retail stores (Sood, S., 2013). Within the last 10 years the site has surpassed its expectation from carrying shoes to now offering a huge selection of clothing, beauty and home items (“In The Beginning - Let There Be Shoes”, n.d.). The success of the Zappos is because of its company values. The values of any company represent the foundation of what the organization stands for. Company values are used to help with decision making and to give insight about the organization to customers or potential employees. Zappos company values are gear to creating an atmosphere of fun and growth while providing WOW service to their customers. The company takes customer service to another level.
