I choose to enroll at Paul J. Hill School of Business because I am passionate about fashion. This passion began early in my childhood, as I was a constant drawer and would sketch outfits. But, as the years progressed my love for drawing decreased and I realized that being a designer of the clothes would be difficult and unlikely. However, I realized that there were other ways I could fulfill this passion, such as having a store and carrying the brands that I most admire. This realization became clear to me when visiting “Thr3e” a clothing store in Lumsden, where an employee, Breanne talked to me about how she was attending Hill Business School. However, despite this realization, I went to the Open House at the University of Regina and took in a science lecture as I had…show more content… A while later, I saw Breanne featured on the Hill Business School’s Instagram page, where she stated that “[her] job never felt like work and she enjoyed coming to Thr3e every day”. Through Breanne’s passionate words, that post had fully assured me that Business was the area I would most like to study. I always considered going to the University of Saskatchewan, but ultimately stayed in Regina because I was not ready to make that big of a change, such as not living at home and having complete independence. In my first year of university, a goal of mine is to get involved with the university community in school events. During high school, it took me till grade 10 to go to school events, such as football games and dances, because my close friends had a lack of involvement and I felt I could not go without them. However, once I began attending these events, I realized how pivotal they were to go to, as they offered a sense of belonging. Therefore, I hope to regain this feeling at the University of Regina.
