Thredbo is a ski resort and local village in the snowy mountains and attracts large numbers of visitors during the winter as it has the longest ski runs in Australia. At around 11:30pm on the 30th of July 1997, an extensive resonant rumble shuddered the quiet sleeping residents of Thredbo.
