This connectively triangulates the relationship between the birth parent(s), adoptive parent(s), and the adopted individual. To utilize this triad, Three Points Center has built their foundation on this approach.
The founders of Three Points Center realized the necessity of creating a nurturing residential treatment facility solely for adopted teens. This facility is geared to address the complex psychological, emotional, and social issues encountered by adopted youth and their families. They strive to provide support for the entire family unit. Unlike other residential treatment centers, adopted youth, and their families are the only clients. The philosophy is systemic—they believe that the "problem" is not the adopted child, but rather, a family system that needs help. If a change is to be long-lasting, the family must be united to change.
