...This is about a scientific article which appeared in Nature in October 2015. Talking about scientific discovery what more would be better than the Nobel Prize winning discovery of developing therapies against parasitic infections. The winners of the prize were William C. Campbell, a microbiologist at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey; Satoshi Ōmura, a microbiologist at Kitasato University in Japan; and Youyou Tu, a pharmacologist at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in Beijing. During the late 1970’s Campbell and Omura discovered compounds called Avermictins, which had the capacity to kill parasitic round worms. These round worms caused infections like river blindness and lymphatic filariasis. This particular compound were released into the market as Ivermictin. Ms Tu discovered Artemisinin a potent drug against malaria. Earlier there was no proper treatment for malaria and the most common drug used for the treatment of malaria were chloroquine and quinine. Artemisinin was extracted from the worm wood plant Artemisia annua. Omura along with William Campbell discovered Avermictins from soil bacteria and they were able to transform this particular compound into a drug which was potent in curing river blindness. Both of the discoveries were very simple yet they had a profound impact in the lives of many people. The drugs were responsible for curing millions of people from the fatal disease like malaria and filariasis Do you agree or support the discovery...

...THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER The importance of Islam cannot be understated. It is the first pillar of Islam that the prophet (peace upon him) mentioned after mentioning the testimony of faith, by which one becomes a Muslim. It was made obligatory upon all the prophets and for all the peoples. Allah has declared his obligatory status under majestic circumstances. For example, when Allah spoke directly to Moses, He said, ‘and I have chosen you, so listen to that which is inspired to you. Verify, I am Allah! There is none worthy of worship but I, so worship Me and offer prayer perfectly for my remembrance.’ ( Taha 13-14) Similarly, the prayers were made obligatory upon the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during his ascension to heaven. Furthermore, when Allah praises the believers, such as in the beginning of surah al-Muminoon, one of the first descriptions He states is there adherence to the prayers. Once a man asked the prophet (peace be upon him) about the most virtuous. The prophet (peace be upon him) stated that the most virtuous deed is the prayer. The man asked again and again. The first three times, the prophet (peace be upon him) again answered, ‘The prayer,’ then one of the fourth occasion he stated, ‘Jihad in the way of Allah.’ The importance of prayer is demonstrated in the many of the prophet’s statement. For example, the prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘The first matter that the slave will be brought to account for on the Day of Judgment is the prayer. If...

...al Relationship between parents and their teenage children I think that trust and respect is so important in a relationship between teenagers and their parents, because the teenagers need to know that they can share things and tell their parents about their problems, and here I am thinking that it is all about the parent’s reactions that makes the child want or does not want to come and share things again. What is also one of the most important things are to know the right way their teenage children should be treated. As I know teenagers like to be free and independent in their life, so it is good for parents to understand them in this situation, because they can end up doing things behind your back. Parents should not ignore experimentation with alcohol and drug, in hope that the teenage child will somehow learn about the risks. I think they should talk about the danger and make them understand in a good way. Being a teenager is not something bad because it is, in my opinion, the best period of one’s life and all our good times are spent in this period, it is definitely also a though period for the parents and the teenagers. As a teenager you have to look after so many things, happening around with friends, their own body, hormones and that they don’t feel understood from their parents side. For them it is like to fight everyday with their parents, but in the same time I know it is difficult and hard for the parents because they have to deal with the various changes. Their...

...What to do if Garage Door Remote Stop Functioning Instantly A garage door remote control is an electronic device which enables a garage door to open or close without getting down from the car and unnecessary lifting the heavy garage door. An infra red signal is sent from the remote to the receiver at the door which enables the motor fixed at the garage door to activate a switch that in turn opens or close the garage door. There may be various reasons due to which a garage remote may not work: * Infra red signal strength: The remote must be within the range of the garage. If it is away from the stated distance then the signals will not be received by the receiver fixed at the garage door. * Batteries: Check the batteries. Replace batteries if required. The batteries must be in good working condition. Weak or dead batteries will fail in sending signals. * Battery Terminals: Check for the battery terminals. If the battery terminals are covered with dirt, gently clean them. If the terminals loosen up with time gently tighten them up by pinching. If the terminals are wet, then it needs to be cleaned with a sand paper or steel wool and dried before inserting new batteries. * Reset: Sometimes reset may be required for the remote to work efficiently. Resetting the remote is done by removing the batteries for at least 30 seconds and re installing them. Resetting the receiver is done by plugging it out from the wall socket plug for at least 30 seconds and re-plugging...

Diffraction occurs with all waves, including sound waves, water waves, and electromagnetic waves such as visible light, X-rays and radio waves #17. Refraction is the change in direction of a wave due to a change in its transmission medium. #18. Shadow Zone is an area following an obstacle that does not receive a wave by diffraction. #19 Thre basic modes : Ground wave, space wave. sky wave. #20. Ground Wave propagation is a method of radio frequency propagation that uses the area between the surface of the earth and the ionosphere for transmission. #24. The radio waves having high frequencies are basically called as space waves. These waves have the ability to propagate through atmosphere, from transmitter antenna to receiver antenna. #30. The CRITICAL FREQUENCY is the maximum frequency that a radio wave can be transmitted vertically and still be refracted back to Earth. The CRITICAL ANGLE is the maximum and/or minimum angle that a radio wave can be transmitted and still be refracted back to Earth. In radio transmission maximum usable frequency (MUF) is the highest radio frequency that can be used for transmission between two points via reflection from the ionosphere ( skywave or "skip" propagation) at a specified time, independent of transmitter power. This index is especially...
