Gift Of Knowledge

What is education? why we need education in ourlive? Like our great heroes as said. " Education is the most important in our life." A gift of knowledge that cannot be stolen and can bring you to the top of your dreams. Education is important, specially, to those can't afford to go to school, because of their status in life. But the greatest treasure that can be achieved is education. Through education, one person's knowledge can be enhanced. It's like a seed on a fertile soil, that if the seed recieved enough sunlight, water and air it will grow to a big tree that can give fresh fruits and shelter with clean air. In education, if you are willing to study in school, doing your homework, projects and reading some smart stuff, it will give knowledge to you and will bring you to success. Education can bring you to the top of the world and will help you reach your dreams and it will end up coming true. But if you don't have education, you will end up like a sleeping shrimp in a running river, who just following the dushing of the water and waiting for nothing wherever the river will leeds you. See, if you only have education it will leedyou to the right path, it can give you a greatful life and you can do anythingwithout people scolded at you, calling you naive, etc.
Education can build a character of a person, It can help one's country to further to the future. Like our great heroes did. And we can be like them through education that guided us and lifted us to touch one's dream in the sky and education can make us a

...I desired to have an original approach for my work and wanted to create something out of the ordinary. I knew that I wanted to create an assemblage because personally, three-dimensional works are extremely interesting. When I first saw the instructions mention using a box for this assignment, I spent a week thinking “outside of the box” to ensure that my work would capture a story that had significance and originality. For the background, I used a 27x47 cm George Foreman grill that was black in color. I placed representational silver and gold items on the background, which enhanced the contrast of the elements. The items I included were: two watches, two earrings, two rings, two cross-pendants, two necklaces, a one hundred dollar bill, and thirty quarters. My goal as an artist was to create visual harmony, which I achieved by using variety to unify. Even though all of the items I used were different in shape and color from one another (besides the quarters), I was able to use many different shapes in the work hold together as a unified whole. This was also accomplished by using symmetrical balance to make the assemblage feel more natural to the viewer so that they are able to make natural connections my piece. Emphasis and focal point are the principles of art that were my primary concerns so that I would draw attention to a specific location in my work. I used directional line, implied line and enhanced contrast to draw the viewer to the focal point, which are similar techniques...

Gucci Mane: a Thug Life

...Jennifer A. Livingston © 1997 by Jennifer A. Livingston "Metacognition" is one of the latest buzz words in educational psychology, but what exactly is metacognition? The length and abstract nature of the word makes it sound intimidating, yet its not as daunting a concept as it might seem. We engage in metacognitive activities everyday. Metacognition enables us to be successful learners, and has been associated with intelligence (e.g., Borkowski, Carr, & Pressley, 1987; Sternberg, 1984, 1986a, 1986b). Metacognition refers to higher order thinking which involves active control over the cognitive processes engaged in learning. Activities such as planning how to approach a given learning task, monitoring comprehension, and evaluating progress toward the completion of a task are metacognitive in nature. Because metacognition plays a critical role in successful learning, it is important to study metacognitive activity and development to determine how students can be taught to better apply their cognitive resources through metacognitive control. "Metacognition" is often simply defined as "thinking about thinking." In actuality, defining metacognition is not that simple. Although the term has been part of the vocabulary of educational psychologists for the last couple of decades, and the concept for as long as humans have been able to reflect on their cognitive experiences, there is much debate over exactly what metacognition is. One reason for this confusion is the...

Tupac

...means as he shares with you his every dream. His eyes glowing with every word of sincerity, as he talks about unity between every community. He made you want to love him like your twin. He dared you to find the lies, to prove he’s crazy from within. Tupac wrote a poem named “The rose that grew from the concrete” “Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature’s law is wrong it Learned to walk without having feet Funny it seems, but by keeping it’s dreams, It learned to breathe fresh air Long live that rose that grew from concrete When no one else ever cared” Tupac represents the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete. He wrote this poem about life and being raised in a place where no one expected you to succeed in life. Tupac promted freedom, but he believed that Freedom wouldn’t come without a sacrifice, a sacrifice to be willing to risk everything for the greater purpose. One person willing to get beat, so others could eat, one person willing to die, so others could get by. Tupac thought of himself be like the man Job, in the book of the bible. God did all this crazy stuff to him, to test his faith and that’s how Tupac seen himself as a man, a man that could stand up to anything as long as he stood firm in his faith. Tupac was a wise man, he seen the problems in the world, problems like people winning the lotto for 36 million when we have people starving on the streets, people with 2 houses that have 27 bedrooms...

...Essay on hooliganism In this essay I will discuss why hooliganism exist, what makes a person become a hooligan and what characterizes a hooligan and hooliganism as a whole? They hunt in packs like wolves, fueled by drugs, hooked on violence. Some are as young as 15. They make a plan to arrange showdowns against other rival ''firms'' at agreed locations. This is a quotation from the French documentary ''Fucking Hooligans''. But why does hooliganism exist in general, there are a lot of reason to it, but the main ones are mentioned. In the text ''Among the Thugs'' and the film ''Fucking hooligans'' it expresses the lifestyle of a group of lads who have a lot of things in common. They drink a lot, smoke a lot and foremost they love to fight, the typical formula for a hooligan. They're the most dangerous. They're the ones who start most of the fights.(p.4-l.12-13). The hooligan culture is not just a culture for some people but a bond between brothers, or in other words it is another family for them. There are plenty of reasons why ''someone'' becomes a hooligan. People normally become involved through two ways, either through friends and family or their choice of a new lifestyle. The main reason why people decide to become a hooligan is that it is just fun when it kick's off. It's an adrenaline thing, you cannot get that kind of buzz through anything else. But half the time it's not even about fighting, it is about being around your mates, having a laugh on a match day and...

Violence

...3 September 2014 Violence: Social Irrationality and Spontaneity Violence can be interpreted as a type of phenomenon, as it can be as unpredictable in masses as it is in individuals. The very moment when a crowd turns violent, or the moment a criminal pulls a trigger, is typically highly unexpected in most situations and leads one to think: what exactly is violence? Is it simply an action, or is it a state? I believe that violence can be a series of actions which an individual in a violent state may take. Violence is a physical and emotional state which holds various categories of intensity and origins. Bill Buford, in his novel Among the Thugs: The Experience, and the Seduction, of Crowd Violence, describes the experience and observations made of violence, namely within the masses of football teams. The human inclination towards control and dominance is a contributing factor towards most violence. Violence, from my interpretation of Buford's novel, holds its main origins from a spontaneous and irrational desire to establish either control or dominance over a certain event. The potential for spontaneous violence is innate within humans, but humans are not inclined towards violence by itself. The trigger for violence, as Buford notes, can suddenly occur from participation in mass events and the competitive nature of such events (namely, European football in his case.) When such violence is triggered in an individual within such a competitive atmosphere, there is a high chance...

Perfect Song

...Crossroads by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. This is honestly one of my favorite songs of all time. All of the elements of the song just seem to flow together and seem right for each other. The song's beat is a slow and deep beat. It gives you the feeling of floating away. It plays in with the lyrics and delivery of the message perfectly. I would say this song really is “music to my ears”. The lyrics of this song are hands down the best I have heard in any Rap, Hip-Hop or R&B ever; not to mention how meaningful they are. They don't necessarily tell a specific story of any kind, but rather the struggles that everyone seems to endure when they are faced with dilemmas. Some of the dilemmas discussed are life, death, money, and just the everyday grind associated with being an underprivileged person trying to make a living. The lyrics bring to your attention that everyone has their own judgment day, how you react to it is on you. You just have to have faith in the Lord and expect that he has the best planned for you and your afterlife, no matter what some of the unethical things you did on earth may be. The song explains the good things about dying, and the bad. Bone Thugs made the comment in the lyrics that when they die, they want to be buried next to loved ones and can't wait to see them in heaven. In retrospect, they sing about praying everyday to the lord, still he takes them away, but deep down they know it's for a reason. Aside from the lyrics themselves, the way Bone Thugs delivered the...

Why Did Dally Die A Hero?

...Dally did die a hero because, yes in the book it says, Dally was different from the set of us he separated, thug from greaser. In many minds Dally did not die a hero, he was a lousy and violent and horrible person. To me, he was mistreated, he was kicked out of his dwelling house, and was technically homeless, even though in the book it does say he would stay over at many people’s houses. Dally was considered an actual thug a gruesome and horrible person, but I conceive he was always a hero, when Johnny had killed Bob in the beginning part of the Outsiders, Dally had helped both Johnny and Ponyboy run away, he had given them $50 and unloaded heater and idea for transportation of getting out of their town. I believe he managed that because he had been to the cooler...

Snow On Tha Bluff Film Analysis

Juarez Film 1010 “Snow on tha Bluff: Keepin’ It (Neo) Real…ism” Curtis Snow conceptualized in the simplest manner his life and the lives of others residing in the 103-Beat of Atlanta when he stated, “We just still. Still smokin’. Still drinkin’. Still takin’ care of chil’ren or whatever. Still strapped… We just still” (Russell & Knittel, 2012). In such a minimalist expression of ones lifestyle the same goes for capturing the essence of life for these residents. Director Damon Russell wanted “real” and what better way to pay homage to the genre of Italian Neorealism than using its primary sources. She was a single mother working for the federal government trying to navigate through the mysterious maze of life. They met in our nation’s capital, a true dichotomy of politics and the underbelly of American society. In order to understand the man he is today, you must understand the boy he was; an above average student who underachieved yet found his way through life experience, luck and circumstance. The early years set the precedent for the next stage of maturation: the teenage – young adult years. The teens and early adult years resemble a budding flower which is overwhelmed by life’s challenges and influences, wilting away seeking sunlight. Adulthood begins with a hurricane of events that lead to a chance encounter that will change his life forever. By the end of this recollection, you will know where he is going because you will see where he has been. Benny Sr. and Bernadette...

Pursuit of Happiness vs Hustle & Flow Film Analysis of the American Dream

...Have you ever felt at any moment in your life that you cannot handle things anymore? Feeling powerless and you want to give up everything you have done so far? In the films The Pursuit of Happyness and Hustle & Flow it is noticeable a very important ideology that a lot of people have at some point in their lives, this is The American Dream. It is also significant to talk about the Mise en scene, the costumes and the angle of the camera in both films. In the film The Pursuit of Happyness shows how hard it is to be a single father with minimum resources to survive and all the struggles that he passes through to create a better life for him and for his son. Christopher is a black man and he does not have a lot of money, looking for ways to get money with different ideas but things did not get any better when he was kicked out of his apartment where Christopher and his son were living because he could not pay it anymore. Things kind of looked better when Christopher got an internship in an important brokerage firm but sadly that position does not pay him until he gets hired for a full-time position in the company and earn much more money than he thought he would have. The ideology in this film of The American Dream is very clear, it began with the fact that Christopher might be considered a failure dad to a lot of people at the beginning of the film because he does not have any properties, luxury things or anything for his own use, no job and problems with his partner. Christopher...
