...Charles Hudgins Jaun Hernandez PT1420 4/29/2014 Let's Start: Create a New project and select windows application. Give it name and then press enter.(All of us know this step). After that you see a blank form like that: Now add 9 buttons on your form using tools. Select button then delete the text from properties (i.e. button1, button2).Actually we want no text on buttons. Now, Put a label on your form set back color according to your wish (here I choose sky-blue color from properties), set text align to middle center and set text to "Turn”. Actually we are creating a box for showing the player's Turn. Add Another Label below above label. Remove text from it, leave it blank. Give it name="display turn”. Now our Application looks something like that. Now doing the same above method, I have created a Scorecard for player1 and player2.I give name playerscore1 and playerscore2 for the labels as shown in figure. I am creating this game for 2 person so, I supposed here Player1 symbol="X" and Player2 Symbol="O".Now I want when player1 click it gives "X" symbol on button. After his turn when Player2 click on button then it show "O" on another button. Double click on button1 and add the code given below. Collapse | Copy Code void Button1Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { if(click1==0) { if(turn%2!=0) { button1.Text="X"; } else { button1.Text="O"; } turn++; click1++; } else { ...

...Introduction Tic-Tac-Toe is a popular simple game for two players all over the world. Traditionally one person plays for “X” while another plays for “O”. The game is played on the square board of 3x3 or even more size. The aim of this game for player is to win by filling with “X” or “O” any row, column or diagonal of the main game board. The game sets players thinking because players should reflect a little bit on strategy and predict some moves of the opponent. So it teaches people to make decisions quickly. MATLAB is computer software for technical computing from the MathWorks. Used for a wide variety of scientific and engineering calculations. The functions of the MATLAB are solving equations, plotting 2D, 3D graphs, calculating statistics, etc. The aim of the report is to describe how Tic-Tac-Toe game simulation was made with the help of MATLAB. The report describes how program reads the code and computer strategy for winning/not losing in the game. Theory. The aim the individual coursework was to program 4x4 Tic-Tac-Toe game for player and computer using MATLAB with condition that computer should always win or just not loose. Programming the game basic loops such as “while”, “for”, “if” were used, where “while” means to repeat smth until some particular conditions are holding, “for” means to do smth for particular conditions, and “if” means to do smth if some conditions are true. There also were used “sum” function which helps to count “X”-s or “O”-s in rows, columns...

...1. I do have siblings, two older brothers one being thirty-two and another twenty-four. Luckily so far no one has been seriously hurt but my older brother Jeff dropped a big cabinet on his big toe while working at bed bath and beyond. He ended up shattering his toe nail in half and breaking his toe he couldn’t go back to work till three or four weeks later. My other brother ended up in the hospital for feeling light headed. They did a bunch of tests and three days later we found out the right side of his brain is underdeveloped and has to be careful not to over work himself. I’m not sure if I see an unreliable narrator or not. Sure we see a younger kid seeing his brother and father figure in the hospital practically dead. He might be making these occurrences up to help deal with this serious event he has just witnessed. “My father and I kept notes, neither of us aware that the other was doing it, trying to get down all of worth’s little disclosures before they faded” (Sullivan 49). By recording conversations he is having with his brother that also leads me to believe in a reliable narrator. 2. The two quotes that ended up standing out to me were “The upper one was still above the waterline” (81). “Gone” (82). It’s hard to image the water line being in your house. Your place of comfort and shelter just taking form you or from the other quote gone. Gives me chills just reading it, gone once something was there and now it’s not. The situation at the end is what I think is the...

...7 Signs You May Need a Responsibility Makeover Erica Hopkins GEN 200 03/02/14 Dr. Crystal Sears 7 Signs You May Need a Responsibility Makeover I believe that not everyone knows about personal responsibility. It should not be looked upon as a handicap, but as one area within everyone that can be developed. Once developed, personal responsibility can contribute to life achievements, goals obtained, and more sense of control over one’s own life. This is great because I think there are a few basic things to look for in your life to identify if you are someone who could really use a good look at yourself. Read on to find to if you can identify with any of the following signs. Do you need a responsibility makeover? Theodore Roosevelt once said “If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn't sit for a month.” Good Reads (2014) He certainly would be one who would know a great deal about personal responsibility. Theodore Roosevelt was a president that achieved a great deal during his time. Despite having a few health conditions, including asthma which was considered quite a deadly illness in the mid 1800’s, he created his own exercise routine that is said to have been pretty difficult and included both weightlifting and boxing. Bio True Story (2013) The seventh sign that you may need a personal responsibility makeover is you constantly complain about your job, but do nothing to better your employment situation. So many people...

...The title “The Chrysalids” signifies that it is a novel about change. The word “chrysalid” is related to the word “chrysalis”, which means “the form which butterflies, moths, and most other insects assume when they change from the state of larva or caterpillar and before they arrive at their winged or perfect state”. Or in simpler terms, it is the state where the caterpillar does most, if not all, of its change into a butterfly. Change can happen anywhere, whether it be in a physical form, such as the caterpillar turning into a butterfly, or evolution of entire species; a mental state, for instance a deeper comprehension of an emotion, or an education towards acceptance and understanding; or in a social environment, for example the abolishment of slavery and the non-discriminatory laws. Change is almost inevitable, fore it is the driving force of life. With out change life could not adapt to its surroundings and survive. If change were to stop, then life would become meaningless. The Earth would be the same if there was life with no change, than if there was no life at all. Generally when people ponder about the notion change, they think about a process where a thing transforms into a better version of itself. While change is usually associated with evolution, it can sometimes be the complete opposite. Change can happen for the worse, though it is seldom seen. With life comes change, and though in The Chrysalids some change is not for the better, character, environment...

...on the treatment and Management of a patient with corns. Ref:http://www.myfootstop.com. Ref:http://bcfootandankle.com/images/callus.jpg. Ref: Google scholar. Ref: own. Ref: same. Corns start forming due to wearing shoes that are too small For us, high heel shoe and shoes with hard soles are not very good for our feet. Women are renowned for squeezing their Feet into shoes that are too tight and too high, you can also get corns through standing for long periods of time, Increased friction and pressure on the feet is not good for us. as the skin starts to get thicker on the soles of our feet or hands it hardens up to form a callus or corn, the small toe is susceptible to getting a corn ! Maybe!! Because the toe gets squashed while our feet are in the shoes. Some people opt for surgery to remove these; as some corns can get very big and are very painful to walk on. A corn is a small area of skin that has become thicker over time due to the constant pressure on the feet. You have two kinds of corns, Hard corns commonly occur on the dorsum of the interphalangeal joints of the toes on the planter surface of the foot beneath the matartarsal heads. And you have Soft corns, these type of corns normally form between the toes, this area is soft and moist because of the sweat from our bodies, we have to be careful with the soft corns as these can become infected, corns that are...

...description: Baby ingrown toenails happen when the nail grows in the wrong direction curving down at the corners. Tight booties, shoes or socks can cause irregular growth. Keeping the nails trimmed with straight cuts can prevent the condition. Baby ingrown toenails are common on the big toe. The corner of the nail curves into the cuticle causing painful irritation leading to infection. Home treatments have been able to correct the situation. By soaking the toe to soften the nail, you can lift the nail to help redirect its growth. What is baby ingrown toenails The medical term for an ingrown toenail is onychocryptosis. Baby toenails are supple making it easy for the nail to grow into the soft cuticle skin. If the nail becomes infected...

Vujicic realized he was not unique in his struggles and began to embrace his lack of limbs.[7] After this, he realized that his accomplishments could inspire others and became grateful for his life.[8] Vujicic gradually figured out how to live a full life without limbs, adapting many of the daily skills limbed people accomplish without thinking. ...vocalizations called tics. The disorder is named for Dr. Georges Gilles de la Tourette, the pioneering French neurologist who in 1885 first described the condition in an 86-year-old French noblewoman. The early symptoms of TS are typically noticed first in childhood, with the average onset between the ages of 3 and 9 years. TS occurs in people from all ethnic groups; males are affected about three to four times more often than females. It is estimated that 200,000 Americans have the most severe form of TS, and as many as one in 100 exhibit milder and less complex symptoms such as chronic motor or vocal tics. Although TS can be a chronic condition with symptoms lasting a lifetime, most people with the condition experience their worst tic symptoms in their early teens, with improvement occurring in the late teens and continuing into adulthood. What are the symptoms? Tics are classified as either simple or complex. Simple motor tics are sudden, brief, repetitive movements that involve a limited number of muscle groups. Some of the more common simple tics include eye blinking and other eye movements, facial grimacing, shoulder shrugging, and head or shoulder jerking. Simple vocalizations might include repetitive throat-clearing, sniffing, or grunting sounds. Complex tics are distinct, coordinated patterns of movements involving several muscle groups. Complex motor tics might include facial grimacing combined with a head twist and a shoulder shrug. Other complex motor tics may actually...

...It expounds on the Coprolalia disorder, its symptoms, causes, manifestations and its relation with its comorbid disorders. Coprolalia disorder is a symptom of other malaises like Tourette’s syndrome or schizophrenia and has links with other medical disorders or conditions. The word Coprolalia stems from two Greek words, ‘kopros’, which means feces, and ‘lalien’, which means to talk. Therefore, Coprolalia is characterized by the profuse and uncontrolled usage of foul or obscene language punctuated by words related to feces. Coprolalia occurs solely or as a manifestation of several other associated comorbid conditions such as ADHD (Attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder), OCD (Obsessive compulsive disorder) Tourette’s syndrome, tics and schizophrenia. The presence of these comorbid disorders raises the probability of a patient suffering from Coprolalia quite significantly. Coprolalia includes phrases remarks and words that are tabooed in a culture and are thus unacceptable for social use especially when they are used in out of context situations. Indeed,...

...* Social Aspect of TS: Challenges TS cause Reality and perception of TS Why do people with TS use slurs? TS and making friends Living successful with TS Not curable, just treatable Natural remission Cases of famous people with TS Conclusion: Reiterate the challenges and underline the resolutions to TS TS can be overcome Hello, my name is Ramon. Today, I will be speaking about Tourette Syndrome or TS, for short. * Before I start going into this, how many of you know or have an idea of what TS is? Raise your hand if you do. For those of you who don’t know what it is, TS is a neurological disorder characterized by involuntary motor and/or vocal tics such as eye blinking, throat clearing, sniffing, or even head jerking. * On a side note, if any of you notice me doing any of the mentioned tics, it’s because I myself am diagnosed with TS ever I was 12. Both types of TS often range from mild to severe. Studies show that TS is inherited only 50% of the time. The gene is carried by the parent, but that doesn’t mean that the parent has it as well. Most often, the TS gene skips a generation. * This means that anyone who has TS may have received it due to his/her grandparents. The same study shows that males are three to four times more susceptible to receiving TS than females. In terms of diagnosing, TS can sometimes be elusive. An article I read on tsa-usa.org, which is a foundation dedicated to research for genetics, mentions that TS, at one point...

...mind; an obsession. Usually a minor fixation where the average person had a strong like or dislike about a specific thing. From the moment the film Amelie starts the narrator talks about Amelie’s dysfunctional family and all their bizarre idee fixe . Her parents are odd people, as detailed in their "likes" and "dislikes" by the narrator which later causes Amelie to develop some fixations of her own. Amelie’s father Raphael was an emotionless man. He dislikes peeing next to someone, catching scornful glances at his sandals, and clingy wet swimming trunks. He really likes to peel large strips off wallpaper, emptying out his tool box, cleaning it out, and putting everything back. Amelie’s mother Amandine is a schoolmistress with a nervous tic in her eye. Amandine has an fixaton with figure skaters costume on TV, polishing the parquet, emptying her handbag, cleaning it out, and putting everything back. She dislikes puckered fingers in the bath, having her hands touched by strangers and finally pillow marks on her cheeks in the morning. Amandine was killed when a woman committing suicide landed on her. From that day Amelie’s father developed a new idee fixe, he became obsessed with building a shrine to her ashes . Amelie's father gave her yearly check-ups, and his nearness made her so nervous (because he was not demonstrative in their love, and Amelie wanted to be hugged) that her heart would beat very fast. So, Amelie's father diagnosed her with a heart problem, and because of that...

This study described about speech disorder of Tourette’s syndrome as portrayed by the main character in Front of the Class Film. Rahardjo (2002) defines that qualitative research had expansive characteristic where it tried to describe and analyze phenomena. The phenomena analyzed in this study is how Brad Cohen, the main character suffering from Tourette’s syndrome in Front of the Class movie, produced utterances with his impairment. 2. Data Sources The data sources of this study were Front of the Class film and the English subtitle which was downloaded from subscene.com by amxd2. Moreover, the English subtitle was converted from .srt extension into .txt. The conversion was verified by re-watching the movie and synchronizing each utterance’s timing. 3. Research Instrument The instrument utilized in this study is the researcher herself. Latief (2010) stated that in conducting a qualitative research, the researcher is the one who must collect the data. The data collection process cannot be done by others since the researcher needs to proceed and comprehend...
