A Missourian man named Timothy Mundy was prosecuted for defrauding ten vulnerable people. Mundy represented himself in court and three of his construction companies during a civil trial before Judge Michael Cordonnier. The prosecution consisted of two lawyers including Attorney General Josh Hawley who won a judgement of $643,703.60. Numerous witnesses came forward to claim that Mundy had cheated them out of money. A Brighton man claimed that Mundy took an advance for roof repairs that he never completed. Mundy, taking the alias of Lee Torrone, stopped taking his phone calls and threatened the man when the check bounced.
