Born in 1974, Tina Jalowiec lived her childhood throughout the late 70s, 80s, and early 90s. A large portion of this time was spent with her family, which included a total of four people (including her): a mother, father, and younger sister (by six years). Each day for her was relatively simple: after coming home from school, she often played outside with her small group of friends; she especially enjoyed games she personally invented, which included “Lost on an Island” and “War”, in which her and her friends attempted to “capture” one another. On some occasions, she simply went roller skating in her driveway and/or played basketball. By 5:00 P.M., she went inside to eat dinner, and then watched television and read books in her room until she went to sleep (9:00 P.M.).…show more content… Helens from kindergarten to eighth grade, and Bay View High School from 9th to 12th grade. Since she found most of her teachers to be strict and mean, she liked very few of them. Although she received homework, she usually finished most of it in school or as soon as she got home; therefore, she often had time to spend with her family and friends afterwards. In class, televisions were used on some occasions for educational reasons (ie. watching the news, or informational videos, etc.).
