The strong wind in autumn blows flower seeds far away. One of the seeds is a very tiny seed. The seeds are all going different places. One of the seeds goes so high in the air that the sun burns it up. Another one of the seeds lands on a cold mountain. It is so cold that the seed never grows. One seed falls in the ocean and drowns. Another seed lands in the desert. It is too hot and dry for it to grow. The wind stops and the seeds all fall to the ground. On the ground, one seed is eaten by a bird. The seeds settle into the soil and another seed is eaten by a mouse. Now it is spring. The sun shines and the rain comes just enough to cause the seeds to sprout. They are not plants! Their roots grown down and their steams grow up out of the dirt. A big weeds is also grown near the seeds. It takes the rain and sunlight from one of the plants and causes it to die. However, the tiny seed has not grown from the ground yet. Children come to play and one of the plants gets stepped on. The tiny seed is growing slow, it hardly has …show more content…
It would be enjoyable for younger or older students. The book could be used to introduce a unit on plants or photosynthesis. You could read the book and then inquire with the students what they think happened in the book. It also teaches a lesson about “being small”. You could read it to your class and then go for a deeper meaning. This book is simple but has a larger meaning that several other text to text connections can be made from. You can have students made a pros and cons list between the tiny seed and the other seeds. After reading you can bring in several types of seeds for students to observe and even plant to watch grow. After reading the book you can talk about other ways seeds can be transported and why seed transportation is important. You can discuss sequencing and why it is important. You can have student create their own sequence for the tiny

Steganography comes from the Greek steganos, or "covered," and graphie, or "writing". Synonymous to abstraction, the art and science of hiding information by embedding messages within other, seemingly harmless messages. Steganography takes cryptography a step farther by hiding an encrypted message so that no one suspects it exists. Ideally, anyone scanning your data will fail to know it contains encrypted data by replacing bits of useless or unused data in regular computer files (such as graphics, sound, text, HTML, or even floppy disks ) with bits of different, invisible information.
