Pastor’s notes. . .
From 1971 Financial Report: Once upon a time there was a man who had nothing and God gave him ten apples - three apples to eat, three to trade for shelter from the elements and three to trade for clothing. The tenth apple God gave him that he might have something to give back to God to show his gratitude for the other nine. The man ate three apples; he traded three for shelter and three more for clothing. He then looked at the tenth apple..... and it seemed bigger and juicier than all the others. He knew that God had given him the tenth apple so that he might return it to Him out of thanksgiving and gratitude. But that tenth apple - the more he looked at it - became bigger and juicier and juicier. And reseaoned that God had all the other apples inthe world....so the man ate the tenth apple......and gave back to God......the core. What are you returning to God? His apple?... or the core? Father James G. Landy Pastor (1970-1974)

Chuck Buswell and I encountered this wolf, feeding on a road kill deer, while enroute to Spaulding Catholic Cemetery at City Point last Monday. He was still there when we returned to BRF following the burial & luncheon. Poor guy looked like he hadn't had a good meal in a long time. Luckily, his associate, Larry, was able to snap this photo with his cell phone camera.
