The Tlatelolco marketplace was run efficiently because there were strict rules that prevented people from breaking the law. The main reason for the Aztecs’ loss was the huge difference in weaponry. While the Spanish had cannons, the Aztecs were still using clubs, spears and arrows. Therefore, the Aztecs were clearly outmatched.
