Last Friday, I had a chance to have a tour of the industry academia cooperation fair. It is really memorable experience for me. I learned a lot of advanced knowledge, to see a lot of leading technology.
1. Artificial muscles
Study on the artificial muscles began in twentieth Century 40 time, but the real progress was recently 10 years of things, this is due to the birth of special polymer materials and intelligent materials in recent years, it provides new opportunities for the study of artificial muscles, those new materials have some ability to be not of the common sort, some materials can exhibit a variety of complex state, according to the current change for example, bending, twisting, extension and contraction, and their behaviour is very close to the real muscle fiber. The development of artificial muscle is of great significance not only in medicine, but also for the development of robot technology is also very important. Scientists have studied on the artificial muscle for decades, used artificial muscle material are also many types: plastic, rubber like polymers, gels and metal, but these materials for being made of artificial muscle faces many problems, such as the need to consume a lot of energy and may often fail and not like a real muscle that can self-repair.
2. Patient auxiliary equipment

3. TOSHIBA WERAM1100
Toshiba WERAM1100 support IPX5/IPX7 grade dustproof and waterproof, the battery life of up to 2 weeks. The user can record the steps to take, exercise, sleep mode to monitor the user, estimation of user heat consumption.
Added to the list of existing fitness tracker, a new Toshiba fitness trackers provides users with a single charge for up to 2 weeks using performance, and is equipped with the support of Android and iOS equipment application.
As with other fitness tracking a wrist worn device, Toshiba WERAM1100 can connect to the application via Bluetooth companion, order tracking your steps, travel distance, and calculate how much Calorie you have.
Once you set your personal fitness tracking target, you will use your way trying to reach the target, the Toshiba device will remind you to continue through the alarm clock function. Toshiba explained:
"Integrated accelerometer allows WERAM1100 to estimate the physical activity, such as measuring the pace, distance and calories. Fitness trackers can also measure the sleep state and mode, and the daily sleep time.
A specialized application via Bluetooth synchronization information to smartphones, and allows the user to view the accumulated data chart. Users can also upload photos of meals and calorie count, to monitor the diet and physical exercise and sleep. "
