A Tribute to the Little Man, Alon

Well, I’m pretty sure we all know that there are countless instances when someone would need to write a tribute speech. It could be for a graduation, a wedding, or in my case this class assignment. The hardest part about writing a tribute speech is finding the right words to say that’ll make this person seem godly, but for Alon, my little brother, I had no trouble finding words that tell just why I admire him. Born in the month of August on the 22, Alon came into a world, crazy as it is, on an unplanned pregnancy. Most people would say it’s hard to do a tribute speech on someone so young, but really they’re some of the best people to do a tribute on. Alon, being only three years old is one of the kindest, most honest people I know of.
His short black curly hair and small features such as his nose and his ears show the innocent Alon still has because he hasn’t been influenced by the world he lives in yet and is still, obviously, growing up. I know that every time I look into those almond shaped brown eyes of him, I’m looking into the eyes of someone whose eyes are blind and unknown to lies. Getting an honest opinion from him isn’t hard, seeing that’s all I get from him. Still being so young, Alon’s mind is as honest as it gets because he hasn’t had the experiences an older person would have, he hasn’t been influenced by anyone else, so when asked what he thinks of something he’s telling what he thinks, even if it isn’t always what you want to hear. With the white winner’s smile he has, still with very few teeth, it can light a room and instantly change your mood. This is another reason why I honestly adore Alon. His happy-go-lucky self makes you just want to be happy because someone who is so little but is so happy makes you feel like there’s still some good that no matter how bad your day is there’s something to smile about, and Alon gives that feeling to me. I would hardly call Alon a toddler, boy, or child because his view and maturity level is just as high as any high school “man” I know. Even though he’s under four feet and just learned how to walk and stand on his own he has his own way of seeing into the future and the hearts of our family.
After speaking with my father, he had to say that Alon was one of the kindest people he knew, and for my father to say that out of all of the people he knows is something. Yeah, Alon is his son and that might affect his point of view, but what about the others such as family friends, neighbors, and extended family. Growing up in a well-rounded family with a father and mother figure as well as two older sisters I think Alon knows nothing else but to be kind, because that’s how he was raised. Along with this since the day Alon was born, our father and his mother have been teaching him right from wrong.
Now Alon isn’t a god, and he hasn’t done anything anyone else, child or not, can do he still makes mistakes just like the rest of us. He cries, he yells he screams, and he still doesn’t sleep through the night. My father is always telling me stories of times when Alon did this or that, one time while on the phone I could even hear Alon screaming because he wasn’t getting what he wanted. Just like any other toddler Alon gets cranky, and he’ll act out on that despite where we are, either it be at home or in a public place like a restaurant. I admit that Alon isn’t my favorite person all of the time, and he still has those annoying traits any other little brother has. Alons innocent can also come at a price because when you’re doing something you know is wrong and they see you, there’s no way your parents won’t find out, even if you do ask them to cover for you, they can’t.
Overall, Alon is someone I admire greatly. He’s someone who I know I can trust, someone who is honest and kind all at the same time. My little brother deserves this tribute, at least in my eyes, because he’s done so little with his life but yet he’s had such a great impact on mine. Thank you Alon with short curly hair, brown almond shaped eyes, and your winners smile for giving me another reason to smile.
