...Business plan: As a part of Travel & Tourism AS course we had to organize a trip. From the first day we were a group of five persons. However, due to some circumstances two of the members of our group are not taking the exam this year, even though they are still going to help us and participate in the organization of the trip. Finally our group consisted of 5 people:Dario,Patricia,Sofia,Valeria and I. Firstly,we were planning on taking a the Sixth Form and Y11 to the trip. But,because of some changes(our teacher told us) in our plans we had to take year 8 students from our school to attend our trip.We changed our choice because we thought that it was the most convenient year for us in terms of organization and discipline in edition whole Y8 group, had not being on a trip in a last academic year. The proximate age of students is 12-13 years old, they are not very small children, which makes easier to control them and contact with them, but also they are not adults, for that reason we would have enough authority to organize them and carry out an successful trip. We had a lot ideas where we can go,but we decided to narrow all these down to the 3 most convenient places:Benidorm,Alicante and Valencia. We discussed each in terms of cost, interest and convenience for all of participants. We distributed our work among group members:Patricia,Sofia and Valeria made the feasibility including a SWOT analysis of Benidorm,Dario did the SWOT analysis of Valencia, and I did of Alicante. *fesibility...

...time that I have applied leadership and an immense amount of communication is when my family and I head down to Mexico on a missions trip. Once a year we pack our bags and head across borders driving a total of 16 hours, going into the heart of Mexico we drive through Chihuahua City arriving at a little town called Anahuac. Inside Anahuac is an orphanage called “Casa de la Esperanza,” it is filled with laughter and a second chance for kids who never got the attention and love they deserved. This orphanage has roughly 40-70 kids a year ranging in size, age, and backgrounds you would never wish on anyone. Hearing some of these children’s stories and where they came from would never reflect on who they were on the inside, all these kids want is love and friendship and they would quickly give it back. The very first time we arrived at Casa a lot was going through my mind, since this was a new experience that was out of my comfort zone. I felt times like these really help expand and push limits of leadership and communication that benefit and support a community in need. Casa is truly an amazing place that focuses their vision not on themselves but on the neighboring community, they supply and conduct food drives, medical exams and taking care of whatever else needs to be done in the town of Anahuac. After hearing what was expected of us in this trip I knew I was going to thrive and truly help make a difference. Casa takes in these children...

...Every year more than one-third of Americans (35%) take a vacation somewhere around the world. Unless you just pick up and leave you are going to need to pack to make this trip more enjoyable, but along with packing comes stress. From personal experience I find packing very overwhelming but with a little help it can be a quick and easy process. Start off with making a list. Creating a list can ensure you don't leave out and important items that could cause any stress when arriving to your special destination. List clothing, toiletries, accessories, electronics, and some things to do when you have down time. Firstly, you should start with the clothing you are going to pack; clothes that will make you feel comfortable in a warm environment. If you are going to go hiking make sure you bring lots of tank tops and shorts and along with that tennis shoes so your feet are comfortable. If you are going to go to the beach or hang around pool side make sure you bring lots of bathing suits. Bring extra so when you are at the pool or beach the other pairs could be air drying back at the hotel. For going out to dinner pack more casual because when you are at the beach you don't really get dressed up. Men can wear button down shirts and Women can wear dresses....

...Parker 1 Cynthia Parker November 11, 2015 After deciding to take a vacation, one must narrow down the possible vacation spots. Two destinations that interest me are Branson, Missouri and Cozumel, Mexico. Both destinations have a variety of activities for me to enjoy while vacationing, but the expenses are quite a bit different. Cozumel will cost more, but I believe I will enjoy the Caribbean cruise more than I will enjoy relaxing in the mountains of Branson. Choosing a vacation getaway can be stressful but exciting. Even on a budget, it is simple to plan an affordable vacation. Two places I would like to vacation at are the mountains of Branson, Missouri and a Caribbean cruise to Cozumel, Mexico. In Branson, there are almost limitless attractions to enjoy. While relaxing in a cozy cabin in the mountains, I could enjoy the peace and quiet nature with beautiful scenery, or I could visit some of the attractions around the area. There is a cabin called the, "Beary Cozy" cabin, and it has one bedroom and one and a half bath. It comes with a fully equipped kitchen and living area making it feel like a home away from home (www.traveloffice.org). The cabin has a romantic fireplace in the living area, perfect for a relaxing, romantic getaway. There are many attractions to choose from, most of which are affordable for someone vacationing on a budget. If I choose Branson as my vacation destination, I would leave on a Sunday and return the following Sunday. I would...

It is usual sunny day when we were about to leaving our busy and noisy city and get to the long road that are passing through the high and huge mountains of Turkmen Kopetdag. People went to the mountains on vacation for two reasons: to have fun and enjoy the view. We wanted to enjoy both of them. But first we agreed to go to Lake Archman. And while we were on the way to lake, my teacher said: “Listen! Now we are on the way to the Archman, and I want to you not to sleep in order to enjoy the beauty of nature.” And some of us really didn’t sleep after her advice, trying to get a real pleasure from staring at the grand mountains. ...traveling to help others has to be a true passion in life. I have vacationed outside the country once and it was a trip to Haiti. I rather travel to another country for relief work, than just to vacation. During my process of traveling I figured that you can’t be traveling to help others because you feel sorry. You must truly love to help others in life. My name is Stephen Gordon and I just completed my first year at Upper Iowa University with a Business Administration major. I am from Altgeld Gardens, which is located on the far south side in Chicago, Illinois. Atlgeld Gardens was named after Illinois Governor John Altgeld. It was established in 1945 and it’s an historic site. Altgeld Gardens is the first public housing projects built in the United States of America and was also an important stop on the Underground Railroad. Altgeld is completely occupied by low income families. The residents of Altgeld Gardens have little education and live off public aid and SSI. Most people love living off the money the government provides. The typical household in Altgeld Gardens is a single mom raising at least four children average, if not more. Most families in Altgeld Gardens struggle to survive from time to time. However, it’s an obstacle that we have to overcome as a community. When I first laid my eyes on the flyer for this Haiti trip I decided I was going. I knew the trip would be expensive, but I told myself I would find the funds. I have never been out of the country, so...

...between a wonderful weekend getaway and a disastrous one. When planning a weekend getaway always plan ahead, know how much you want to spend and stick to your plan. After long years of weekend trips I am like the Superman of trips, just because I know the three most important things to plan. First, pick a place that speaks to you and your party, everybody has to enjoy the trip like there is no tomorrow. Find something that is close by and easy to get to, pick a place that is no more than four hours away, if you are going to enjoy your trip, avoid spending your whole weekend travelling. Remember to take into account the time getting back home. Second, Accommodations, if you are going to enjoy your weekend, getting a place close to the action is essential. Whatever you choose, rooming nearby will help you save money and stay close to the action. For example, consider a house on the beach, it could be more expensed but you will save time getting to the beach, paying for parking fees, and a place to leave your belongings and best of all, you have a place with your own bathrooms, clean and private and that is like heaven to me Third, make a list of all the things you need to bring on your trip. No matter how absurd it is to put on your list things like the toothbrush and shampoo, those are the number one things left at home and by experience the first things to buy in a non-schedule trip to the market. Involve every member of your party on this shore like their lives depended on it...

...West Coast Trip West Coast of the United States is a well-known coast as a place to visit for the East Coast people to take a break or run away from the frostiness of snow during winter. Over winter break, I decided to spend two of my five weeks break at West Coast. It was a precipitous decision that I made because I was planning just to spend my winter break in Columbus, Ohio, because I didn’t have that much cost to go to West Coast, but then my friend forced me and she decided to sponsor my trip to west. It such a blessing to have that kind of friend in today’s selfish world. I was such a mess during Fall semester. I really need to fully use winter break to discover myself and see what I am capable of. Besides, I need to understand life as aging keeps hunting me and I have to learn on how to tolerate with people because the world has trillions of behavior in different person that I have met, I am meeting and the person that I am going to meet in my future. Before the trip started, I clear my mind from all the negative thoughts that I had in mind and brought only positive vibes with me. During the trip, I got to learn a lot about myself, learn to deal with complicated people and realize that we always need to be prepared. On the first day of my journey, I started to learn something about myself. It started with taking a flight to San Francisco. This is my first time getting on a domestic plane, alone. Actually it was my second time, but the first time was a flight from...

...Case Study – Effective Communication: Partnership in Italy Melissa Chang was asked to travel to Venice, Italy and meet with her company’s partnering company. Preparation for the trip was stressful. Not only had her colleague cancelled their recent trip to Moscow at the last minute, making the US partner look bad, but the Italian partner had made several requests for information which none of Melissa’s colleagues had fulfilled. She learned all of this information upon making phone contact with their office to confirm her travel plans. After that initial phone call, Melissa was not looking forward to the trip. She felt that her company had not upheld basic business standards, and adding a language barrier to the equation did not make things any smoother. She was very hesitant to make the trip and felt very guarded. She knew her Italian counterparts were frustrated and she could relate to their feelings. However, she also had a job to do – get more work out of them. If things did not get cleared up quickly, they could potentially loose the partnership. Melissa dreaded having to be the one to deliver that piece of news. Once in Venice and face-to-face with the partners, Melissa quickly realized their source of frustration. From their perspective, the US partner had not upheld their end of the business deal by providing some basic product information. Melissa had that information with her and easily provided the files. She was able to answer all their questions...

...My spiritual journey is probably much like yours, with the main goal of trying to discover myself. What I like, and what I don’t like. What I believe, and what I don’t believe. Who I want to be, and who I don’t want to be. Although I’ve only had 21 years to work on this, I’ve come quite a long way from where I started. My grandfather was a minister, so ever since I can remember I have been attending church. It wasn’t until I was 12 however that I really found a connection to what some would call The Mystery, a Higher Power, or as I refer to it, God. There is a place in Jaffrey, NH called Monadnock Bible Conference. They run Christian based week long retreats year round for young adults, and it is here that I consider the beginning of my journey. These retreats were full of fun and games along with two worship services each day. These worship sessions were much like sermons, but catered to youth to keep us engaged. We listened to youth pastors and young adult speakers from all over the country who challenged and guided us in our faith. Along with these speakers were incredible Christian rock bands who played songs that moved us to get up and dance, and even knee down and pray. I remember attending one of the retreats right after starting 7th grade. I was overwhelmed by my new school, the peer pressure of new friends, and other typical 13 year old problems. I was listening to one of the speakers talk about how amazing God is, that when you have a relationship with him you have...
