Food Truck

...The Triangle Food Truck Project Group 7 is writing this proposal to request funding for the Triangle Food Truck Project (TFTP) benefiting at risk teenagers in the Triangle area of North Carolina. We are requesting this funding to cover our upfront supplies and equipment, as well as our initial payroll. The TFTP will give at-risk youth in our community a reliable income source and a fulfilling real world job experience that they may not normally have access to. In some areas of our community there is a long-standing issue of our youth not having solidified programs set up for them outside of school hours. In many of these same communities, the parents of these teenagers forced to work long hours or multiple jobs. This leaves their children to occupy their own time after school lets out. These factors can often lead to mischief and potential criminal activity. There is also a strong correlation between these communities and hunger issues. The next step for the TFTP will be identifying local suppliers that fit our mission of bettering our community. Next we’ll have to work through the process of identifying the troubled teens that could take part in our program. The schools would come to aid in this and provide information and proof regarding such teens. Group 7 believes that the TFTP will empower youth through providing jobs that provide them with life skills, much needed income and reduced chances of getting into trouble. Also, the TFTP will help aid the hunger issue...

...Team B’s Competitor Research Paper for the Mobile Food Truck University of Phoenix MKT/431 March 4, 2013 Gail Lorber Introduction B's Mobile Food Truck is a business that will offer the convenience of serving foods to their customers from a traveling truck. The food truck will be located near businesses, which will allow the customers quick access to the service. Customers will have different food choices to choose. My Truck

...Jennifer Patraca Description July 10, 2012 I love my Dodge Ram pick-up truck. It’s over ten years old and we’ve been together now for half of that time. Five years ago I began my search for a vehicle and I knew it was going to be a long day so I dragged my mother along with me for the company. I planned on driving to car lots around the state because I knew exactly what I wanted. It was to be a black on black pick-up truck. I even had a couple of make and models in mind such as a Dodge Ram or GMC Sierra. So, this wasn’t going to be leisurely looking, this was a quest. While driving from one car lot to another all of a sudden something caught my eye off to the side of the road. It caught my attention so quickly as if it threw its shine from its glistening coat right into my eyes. I had planned on driving right by that car lot, figuring that they never had anything like what I was searching for. I immediately turned around and drove back. I couldn’t believe my eyes as I drew near. It was perfect. Sitting on top of a hill facing me was the most beautiful truck I’ve ever seen. It felt like it was sitting there just for me. The way the extra-large and wide grill protruded from the front of the truck made it mean looking. The dense head lights on either side of it looked like two wicked eyes. It was tough looking. The black paint looked as if it was still wet. The truck was massive and beefy. It was wider than tall sitting on four sturdy plump tires. The treads...

Why A Mexican Taco Truck Analysis

...Why A Taco Truck? The idea to start Willie Ray’s was birthed from the lack of representation of authentic Mexican taco food trucks with a west coast feel located in the south. While attending college in Georgia, I craved a piece of my Mexican culture and community from the west coast. Living in Los Angeles anyone could grab an authentic Mexican taco anywhere for a low price that was fulfilling. Similar to most out-of-state college students not being able to afford the luxury of eating out or grabbing a quick bite to eat; let alone travel across town to a half way decent restaurant located within the city, most students wished for a taste of a signature food item from back home for comfort. That little piece of comfort is like a piece of heaven....

Runaway Truck Ramp Research Paper

...Losing your ability to control your speed while descending a steep mountain road isn't on any trucker's wish list. However, if you ever found yourself in that situation, a well placed runaway truck ramp would likely be at the top of your list. These lifesavers are designed to bring the runaway truck or other motor vehicle to a safe stop. Although the need for the ramps is on the decrease because of improved braking technology, driving down a steep mountain grade in a 40 ton semi truck does put the braking system to the test. And sometimes it fails. How Runaway Truck Ramps Work Runaway truck ramps use either pure friction to dissipate the truck's speed, a combination of friction and an uphill grade, or a system of steel nets or cables. A bed...

Truck Vs Car Research Paper

...Trucks and cars are very similar and very different in many ways. So, you may be asking yourself, what all is different and alike about them? There are many things. I’ll just touch on a few. Trucks have four tires, obviously, right? Their tires are much different than a car tire. Trucks tires are big and have a lot of tread on them. The reason they have so much tread on them is because of the terrain and work that they’re suppose to go through. They are also bigger since trucks are used to carry a lot of heavy equipment and heavy hauling and a bigger tire can take more of a beating. Trucks are very durable though. They can take hard beatings for extensive amount of times. This type of vehicle also doesn’t do well with long trips very well, since they don’t have very well gas...
