...Malaysia’s 40 Richest T AKING A BREAK FROM AN investor presentation at the Ritz-Carlton in Singapore, AirAsia’s Tony Fernandes, sporting his trademark red baseball cap, flips through his company’s 140-page annual report. He pauses on 2 of the 16 ads, one from AIG and one from General Electric. “We’re the only company in the world putting ads in our annual report,” Proletariat Capitalist TONY FERNANDES revolutionized Asia’s airline industry by introducing the region’s first low-cost carrier. Now he’s plotting more insurgencies in airlines, hotels and financial services. By Justin Doebele 30 F O R B E S A S I A JUNE 4, 2007 Malaysia’s 40 Richest Sleepover in Kuala Lumpur: Tune Hotels, with rooms costing as little as $3 a night, are Fernandes’ attempt to provide cheap, clean lodging. he boasts. “For others it’s a cost, but we made a $50,000 profit.” Fernandes, 43, relishes turning costs into cash. After all, he built a small fortune by being budget-conscious. Less than six years ago he and a partner paid a debt-ridden Malaysian company 27 cents for a troubled carrier and assumed its $11 million in debt. He relaunched AirAsia Berhad as Asia’s first low-fare airline and the region’s first carrier to allow customers to buy tickets online and through mobile phones. The no-frills outfit got rid of complimentary food and drinks, frequent-flier programs, airport lounges, even cleaning crews; flight attendants now clean the cabins after flights. ...• Stevie talks about how cartoons have become violent and addictive to children and also how they have hidden adult subliminal messages to allow for parents to enjoy the cartoons along with their children. • Three major effects that have been proven by psychological research caused by children seeing violence on television are: the child may become less sensitive to the pain and suffering of others, children who watch violence do not fear violence nor are they bothered by violence in general, and the children are more likely to become aggressive or use harmful actions towards others. • "The April 2004 issue of the medical journal Pediatrics published a study done by Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center of Seattle, Washington. The study revealed that children who watched three to four hours of television daily had a 30 to 40 percent greater risk of developing attention deficit disorder than children who did not watch television." • cartoons set a false reality for children by cartoon characters being invincible. It talks about instances such as the how Wile E. Coyote in episodes of 'Loony Toons' can fall off a cliff and walk away without even a scratch. Incidents like this make children think that they too can do these things without being hurt, when in reality they can not. Having this false sense of reality increases the risk of child safety. “For every hour of TV viewed per day, the risk of injury rose by about 34% in the children studied.” • Wilcox talks about...

...My day with Bugs Bunny If I could spend a day with any character or person, it would be a bunny. I would spend my day with Bugs Bunny from the cartoon Wabbit. In the series, the Looney Tunes return to their comedy roots. Each episode of Wabbit contains two shots, starring Bugs Bunny as the main character. We would hang out and probably meet some of his friends and enemies. Characters, like Wile E. Coyote and Yosemite Sam, show up to annoy him, Tasmanian Devil and Daffy Duck too. The main thing bunny does is end up in a fight against evil and plays a trickster. So I imagine the day would be pretty fun an anything could happen. I think fist off we would run into his biggest nemesis during hunting season Elmer Fudd. Elmer is a big hunter and bunny always messes with him. We would probably pull some trick on Elmer. With all of that happening we will probably meet Daffy. We will probably get into an argument like in the cartoon about whether it is rabbit season or duck season. In the cartoon bunny always wins by tricking Daffy into saying it was duck season. So bunny an I will just trick him and he will get shot like in the cartoon....

These included the Flash, who had superhuman speed; Green Lantern, whose magic ring of green meteorite gave him the power to shape energy; and Wonder Woman, an Amazon possessing superhuman strength and speed as well as the ability to deflect projectiles. Now with all these luxuries appliances on sale for a cheap price they were found every where in the states. Now there were refrigerators, electric toasters were only some of the appliances. Motivation----- When being a director they need that motivation and strive to keep things moving at the right pace because the as the director, one has so many things to do on a daily base period. All the goals will be meet on time if the company has a mindset of being motivated to get things done and getting them done on time. I chose motivation because being motivated and having motivation it helps one throughout life to get things accomplished. The company as individuals follows the director and his orders and his motivation. If the director isn’t on time the company wont be either. With the director being in a motivated mood, the company will also be motivated and everything that has to be done will get done as needed. 2).
