The RWD option had a little less power to the wheels but that was necessary because the RWD could not handle the power on stock internals. Both the GTS and GTR had a 2 liter turbocharged RB20 that helped them make 300 horsepower. The reason the R33 did not do to well was that a lot of people hated the lack of power so they just bought the R32 instead. The thing that made the R33 so special was that Nissan reinvented the all wheel drive system on the GTR it was a 20ish pounds heavier but it made up for it in handling. Part of the thing that helped the R33 with its superb handling was its limited slip diff. The limited slip diff made sure all the tires spun at the same time, normal diffs don't do that without a sport diff or welded (that's the cheap route) your tires will spin how ever they want and that's not very good for traction or drifting. If you wanted to get really fancy you could have bought the r33 nismo. The racing division of Nissan is called Nismo they just put the word Nissan and motors together and got Nismo. The R33 Nismo was a lot lighter, and came with anti locking brakes. Nissan put the R33 Nismo in the Le Mans 24 hour race and it came 10th overall which is pretty great considering it was going up against supercars like the Mclaren F1 which held the record for the world's fastest production car. Now let's go on to the
