For over the past years academic and extra curriculum activities have build up the path to expand individual’s education. In order to pursue my long time goal which is to obtain a bachelors in accounting /marketing I have prepared myself by taking the following courses. I believe that in order to succeed in the field that I am approaching one must learn not only arithmetic, but also in government I would probably need to understand politics and the economy of the state. Language skills are also required when communicating with customers who speak a different native language. As an American citizen one is expected to properly speak and write proper English. Even though science and culinary arts may not have anything to do with what I want to study it will make me a more educated and prepared person that can further help me in an everyday situation. Math has always been one of my favorite subjects I enjoy learning new ways to solve equations and math has always been linked to other academic subjects such as physics, dates in history events, and even in everyday life.
Extracurricular activities not only look nice in a resume, it also encourages an individual to stay focus in academics because if the grades are not good one is not eligible to participate. Although I may not turn out to be professional dancer there is much more than that, we learn leadership, discipline, and most important sister hood. I may not be involved in many activities not because I do not want to, but because I think that being involved in many activities would not give me the time to fully dedicate and commit to them. On the other side, extracurricular activities help individuals obtain scholarships and when in college all financial assistance is welcome especially in the field I have selected. Technology is growing fast therefore I find it of great importance to keep up with it, since in college almost every assignment needs to be typed or presented in a visual technology way.
I may not be taking a whole bunch of extracurricular activities, but it is never too late to try to be involved in them. Academically I am trying to take all the classes that are required in order to graduate and go to college. My other long terms goals kind of revolve around me obtaining a college degree because I would work and buy a house, the car I want and be totally independent living the American dream and hopefully being the second in my family to have graduated from an university.
