Academically, I always strive to put forth all of my effort into my classwork challenging myself and working hard. At UAFS, I will continue to strive and dedicate myself, as to making sure my grades reflect my hard work and success at the college level.
I have always had a desire to be an artist. Since I was in elementary school, I have always been fascinated with drawing things on my drawing pad and Crayola’s and building things with my Legos. During my six years in Scouting, I was able to complete merit badges as I continued to work my way to become an Eagle Scout in 2012. Merit badges such as Architecture, Graphic Design, Game Design and Art allowed me to realize that I have a love for the arts and that I would major in some form of art in college.…show more content… Architecture and Design degrees are very expensive to earn at many of the universities. It was also hard to think of having a large debt coming out of college with a degree that focuses only in one direction. I looked at schools such as the University of Arkansas and Drury University for Architecture, Savannah College of Art & Design and Full Sail Academy for Animation, Game and Product Design. But after talking with my dad about options and visiting with Dr. Nichols at UAFS my junior year in high school, I now have a game plan.
My academic goal is to attend and graduate from the University of Arkansas @ Ft Smith with an Animation Technology degree in hopes of landing a job at Architecture firm as a 3D Visualization Artist. The low tuition, the BSAT program, scholarships, small classes and the “being at home environment” sold it for me.
