Ever since I could remember thinking about college, UTK has always been in the back of my head. Looking at colleges and thinking about my future, I didn’t know much about UTK. After I did some research, I discovered that this particular school was a perfect fit for me. The most beneficial outcome of going to UTK for me is that I qualify for both in-state tuition and the Tennessee HOPE scholarship. I also learned that other than just applying for the many scholarships that UTK offers, which 88% of students receive, I also learned housing may be covered by financial aid and scholarships, which will be helpful for my parents. The one thing I’m most excited for is the ability to meet new people from new places. UTK has students from all fifty states and one-hundred and twelve countries. Even though I’m not quite sure what career I want to pursue in, I’m pretty positive that I want to pursue a job in business or medical. Both of these careers would be a good choice for me and I know that no matter what I choose, I will be getting the education that I need. With that being said, UTK is the fiftieth ranked best public university in the nation and they’re trying to make their school in the top twenty-five. This proved to me that this school is determined to be the best for their students and they truly care about being the best. Specifically, their schools of business, law, engineering, and social work are ranked in the top fifty in the nation at either the undergraduate or graduate level. With these statistics to back up the school’s productivity and determination, I know that I will be enriched with a great education for the next four years of my future.
