Abstract
In the current competitive scenario people are trying hard to match their capabilities and aspiration to achieve their personal as well as professional objectives. On the same hand even organizations are seeing tough time to maintain their market performance that determines the success and failure of the organization. The performance of employee in organization is directly correlated to their level of motivation driven through their job structure with respect to the roles and responsibilities assigned to them depending on their caliber resulting to job satisfaction. In order to create commitment as well as motivation level among employees, employer has an important role to play. It is his directions and guidance under which the employee operates in the organization.
Appointing the right resource to a job requirement and assigning it a complete authority as well as job responsibilities to achieve organizational goals is not an easy task. A mismatch in the authority assigned and the expectation desired drives a feeling of dissatisfaction among employees which in future would affect their job performance as well as commitment level. Companies need to realize that each person is different from another and so as their motivation

In 2006, global government and capital expenditure exceeded US$1,480 billion making destination branding an important concept that still remains fragmented and unplanned. Dubai, an emirate of the UAE in the Middle East has been chosen as a case study to explain some elements of successful destination branding. This paper aims to apply a framework developed by Balakrishnan to explain areas of caution when competing in an international market where success is also partially dependent on the macro-environment. Design/methodology/approach – The framework was developed by reviewing literature on destination, place, corporate, product portfolio and service branding. The framework was tested using case study methodology. Secondary research was primarily used to develop the case. Findings – There is a strong fit with the model suggesting that destinations can use this as a basis for continuity in strategy even as governments change.
