...Cardiovascular System In this assignment I will be talking about the cardiovascular system and what the structures and functions of the body parts are. The cardiovascular system is powered by the main organ: the heart. The heart allows blood to be pumped around the body, supplying oxygen to the working muscles. The blood not only supplies oxygen but nutrients, hormones and cellular waste too. The heart The heart is a hard working organ that is said to be roughly the same size as your fist. It pumps bloody around the body, which supplies oxygen and nutrients to the tissues, it also helps remove carbon dioxide and other wastes. It is important the tissue gets a constant supply of nutrients because it keeps it active otherwise they will die. There are four main chambers to the heart, two that are the upper chambers and the other two are the lower ones these are called the atria and the ventricles. The left atrium and the left ventricle make up the left side of the heart and the same goes for the right side, these are separated by a wall of muscle also known as the septum. The heart is covered by a double-walled sac called the pericardium, this protects the heart. There are two pathways in which the blood travels to different organs depending on what pathway it is. The pulmonary circuit the blood leaves the right ventricle of the heart and travels to the lungs, this then returns as oxygenated blood to the left atrium pf the heart, this all happens via the pulmonary vein. The...

...The reason for this Rbi is to inform the reader of accountability, the duties of NCO's, and failure to report. Websters dictionary describes accountability as “the state of being accountable, liable, or answerable” and the DOD describes it as “The obligation imposed by law or lawful order or regulation on an officer or other person for keeping accurate record of property, documents, or funds. The person having this obligation may or may not have actual possession of the property, documents, or funds. Accountability is concerned primarily with records, while responsibility is concerned primarily with custody, care, and safekeeping” and responsibility as “the state or fact of being responsible” respectability. While some actions may be responsible, you are always held accountable for the outcome of such. Accountability can also be described as being dependable. By being dependable, soldiers arrive to work and appointments on time, meet deadlines, arrive at the right place at the right time, and always do the right thing at the right time. Morning formation is the most important formation of the day. It is vital to maintain accountability of everyone and to put out any pertinent information that is necessary to soldiers. Without accountability formation, it would be difficult for the command to fully brief soldiers about the days activities or important information. Accountability makes responsibility meaningful and completes the process of delegation. Responsibility is...

...Technology and Management Function Paper 7/25/2012 Throughout my life I have only held three jobs. From the time I was 14 to the time I was 16 I was a recreation assistant at a local year round vacation home resort/development. I handed out games, made snacks, ran the ski lift, assisted with social gathering so there was really no technology that was used. The second job I held from the age of 16 until I was 22 was a Direct Service Provider. I assisted the mentally handicap in a group home setting with everyday life. Although it was a very fulfilling job the most technology that was used by my manager or myself was turning on the television. The third job I held was a mechanic in the United States Army. Though I have been a stay at home Mom now for some time the things I have learned in the military stay with me for the rest of my life. In the world today, technology keeps growing faster and faster and as it grows new technologies are introduced onto the battlefield. Our U.S. Military depends on technology and strong leadership to keep soldiers alive. Not having the most recent technology our enemies can gain the upper hand and the risk of this carries a bigger effect than a lot of other organizations. Military guidelines set the groundwork for procedures and training, only technology has created the ways in which we incorporate the technologies into training. Our U.S. Military is one of the leading and most integrated organizations in the world. This involves a good...

...son who enlist, to protect and serve his country, or ad she say in the text, he did it because of the younger generation in our family … he wanted them to grow up in a safe world. The most important statement she wants to give to us, is that we should not allow our kids to go in to war, and risk their lives, never knowing if they will be coming home alive or in a casket. On the other hand se can´t seem to understand why those kids chose to enlist in the first place, why not stay home and get a collage degree and take care of your family. Then if we take a look at text number two by David Zucchino, he talks about a man who have come home from service, and no longer is the same as before…..today he sufferers from PTSD which he will never recover completely from, the main focus of this text is to tell us that the soldiers who do service in the US Army and who has been sent in to war, never becomes the same when they come home, there are almost no offers for them, no treatment. It is also the story about a father that allowed his son to go in to war, and risk his life… as the father says in the end of the text…..”I wish he had never gone in”. Last but not least we got text number 3 written by, Joel Pitney, this time it is about the making of a marine officer, the main character in this text is lieutenant Fick, who is the author behind the book, “One Bullet Away: The Making of a Marine Officer” where he describes how a marine is formed from “scrap” to killing machine”. ...September 11, 2013 By Timothy Hale, U.S. Army Reserve Command Chief Warrant Officer 5 Phyllis J. Wilson, the U.S. Army Reserve command chief warrant officer, shared what she sees as the top five qualities: strong character, strong leadership skills, technical savvy, across the board competence, and the capacity to be a counselor, adviser and mentor. "We want some of the best NCOs to come into the Army warrant officer corps," Wilson said. "You've got to be extremely good at your skill set: being a strong leader and knowing your technical skills so you can advise -- the same things that the rest of the Army leadership talks about." She said the competence a warrant officer must have is not only the technical aspect of their MOS, but also tactical competence. "Character -- that's not exchangeable for anything else," Wilson said. The path to becoming a warrant officer is not unlike the enlisted or officer career track. Once recruited, warrant officer candidates attend the five-week Warrant Officer Candidate School, known as WOCS, at Fort Rucker, Ala. "It's a very vigorous course of training," Peak said. "The course is designed for the cadre to evaluate the candidates' skills, qualities, and traits to ensure they are commensurate to what the Army expects of a warrant officer one." He said that individual skills and leadership capabilities are tested along with transition training from being enlisted to officer. * Copyright © 2013 TheHuffingtonPost.com, Inc...

...Email: assignmenthelp257@gmail.com. (Email me if you need help in tackling high school, college and university assignments) Public Governance NAME: Professor: Institution: Course: Date: Virtually all management and planning theories are enamored with efficiency of organizations. Organizational efficiency’s main objective is to have branches that work and function with the least possible units and employees but they are still able to accomplish the goals of the organization. A lot of emphasis is placed on eliminating, coordinating or reducing what is seen as unnecessary redundancy. This notion of organizational efficiency was further fuelled by the fiscal constraints and scarcity of resources that dominated the funding of public organizations in the 1980s. To achieve maximum efficiency, an organization had to eliminate redundancy. Redundancy concept is relatively new to public governance and organization theory. But in technological fields like engineering, redundancy is a well-established concept. For example, the reliability of automobiles is improved by incorporating redundancies. Redundancy in organization systems is many. In an organization, maintenance teams which wait for a problem to arise in order to solve it, supervisors who manage other personnel to ensure that they are working, quality teams whose sole job is to search for defective products are all redundancy examples. Regulatory bodies coordinating the...

...when the labour party came to power in the United Kingdom. This trend continued after independence such that by 1999, it was estimated that successive Nigeria Governments have invested up to 800 billion Naira in public owned enterprises (Obasanjo, 1999). THE CONCEPT OF PRIVATIZATION Although the concept of privatization is an is an emotive, ideological and controversial one evoking sharp political reactions, its political origins, meaning and objectives are not ambiguous. Iheme (1997).defines privatizations as: …any of a variety of measurers adopted by government to expose a public enterprise to competition or to bring in private ownership or control or management into a public enterprise and accordingly to reduce the usual weight of public ownership or control or management. However, in a strict sense, privatization means the transfer of the ownership (and all the incidence of ownership, including management) of a public enterprise to private investors. The later meaning has the advantage of helping one to draw a line between privatization and other varieties of public enterprise reform. It is also the sense in which the term has been statutorily defined in Nigeria. In a similar vein, Starr (1998) defines privatization as a shift from the public to the private sector, not...
