Role: Police Officer

Skills and Qualities of the job role, how they compare to my skills and if I would need to improve anything and why:

* honesty, confidence, social awareness and a responsible attitude – I use this skill when I am at work, when I am talking to customers, I should always be honest to them. I would use this skill/ quality in the police force as I would always need to be honest, for example if I seen a burglary happen by someone that I knew, I would need to be honest about that person and turn them in. in the police I would always need to be socially aware because I or colleagues could come under attack and to prevent it I would always have to be aware of my surroundings. In the police force I would always have to have a responsible attitude as members of the community would look to me for help and advise, I wouldn't want to give an unreliable impression to others. - I don't think I need to improve any of these skills of qualities. * the ability to assess a situation, react quickly and take positive action. - I use this skill/ quality when I am on my driving lessons, when driving I should always be alert and ready to react to any unsuspected situation I may face and I would need to make a quick action to make sure that I am safe. I would use this in the police if I came across a life-threatening situation, I would have to react quickly and safely to ensure that I and those around me were ok and free from harm. * the ability to remain calm in sometimes life-threatening situations. - Luckily, I haven't came across a life-threatening situation in my life. I was to come across a life threatening situation I would try my very best to remain calm and collected and assess if there was anyway I could help to keep others calm and safe. I don't think that there is any way right now where I would be able to improve that. * the ability to work alone and in a team. - At college we often go on trips where we have team building activities and then when we come back to college we have to work alone. I would use this skill/ quality In the police force when I am working on a group project or on patrol alone. I could improve this skill by getting involved with extra curriculum activities. * strong communication skills. - I have to have strong communication skills when I am at work as we have to pass orders on to the chefs. If there is a lack of communication then that will highly affect my customer service as the customer will either not have a correct order, cold order or no order at all. In the Police I would have to have strong communication skills when to reporting back to head office or others over the radio. I could prepare myself for communicating in the police force by learning the NATO phonetic alphabet . * good fitness levels. - at college we do a lot of fitness and out of college I attend zumba classes. I would need to use fitness in the police force when chasing criminals if they were on the run and we had to catch them. To improve my fitness skills I would go on the treadmills at the gym to practice and build up my cardio. * good literacy skills. - I have a lot of assignments at college, therefore I have to write a lot. I would need good literacy skills in the police force as I will need to write a lot of reports of my day and incidents that have happened. I could improve my skills by carrying on writing and reading books. * *

...the task type settings to control how resources affect task assignments * Apply a preset resource contour to change work value distribution * Working with task information forms When planning a project schedule, adjustments are often needed to reflect necessary changes in project scope, assignments, etc. In MS Project, when an assignment is changed, the schedule is recalculated to display the changes. You can work with the scheduling method and the task type settings when making changes to the initial resource assignment. In the previous lesson, the initial resource assignments were made for our project. But we need to learn how to make adjustments to how those resources are used. It is important that you read every part of this lab carefully, if not twice. Working with Effort-Driven Scheduling How a task reacts to the addition and removal of resources is defined by the scheduling method and the task type settings. In MS Project, the default scheduling method is effort-driven scheduling. Effort-driven scheduling extends or shortens the duration of a task to accommodate changes to resources but doesn't change the total work for the task. Work is the amount of effort, or number of hours, resources put into a task. The total work for a task is determined by the duration estimate for the task and the initial resource assignment using the following formula: Work = Duration * Units For example, say you give a task the duration of one day...
