I Have a Dream – Summary

Martin Luther King Jr. is known to everyone as the most influential civil rights leader of all times. The “I Have a Dream” speech is just as recognizable as its author. In the time it was written, this message was revered as a message of hope. That hope is still felt whenever you read or listen to its words. Dr. King delivered his most memorable speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Delivering this message at this particular location had a lot of symbolic meaning to which many probably wouldn’t recognize. The Lincoln memorial is dedicated to the late President Abraham Lincoln. President Lincoln fought for the abolishment of slavery by introducing the Emancipation Proclamation. In January 1st 1863 he delivered the final proclamation and became a symbolic figure in the Black American history. Knowing this, it is sure that Dr. King choose this location based on that fact. The moment of clarity while reading the “I Have a Dream” speech came when Dr. King began discussing the thoughts of his dream. Symbolically the statement “I have a dream” may not necessarily mean he was asleep and these thoughts came to him in a dream state, but more the ladder of hopeful vision. The notion that he mentioned the locations where most blacks lived or even regarded the locations in the north as the slums and ghettos, truly enforced his message that the countries climate and attitude towards the black minority had to change. In closing, Dr. King believed in the unity of all men and woman. He believed that no matter your race we are all born in the image of God and should be treated all the same. His message was a beacon of hope during his time period, and greatly stands as that same level of hope today.

Systems Analysis Assignment the Tdc Construction Company

...Requirements Determination and Analysis The TDC Construction Company Requirements Determination: Analyse of the conduct of the interview:  In general, what is your view of how the interview was conducted? Generally the interview was reasonably professional if a little rushed. The good points were: Inez begins well by reviewing the company’s business objectives which she has a grasp of from previous contacts with the company. There seems to be a good understanding on business matters between Inez and Gerry. She ensures that she has a firm understanding of many of the facts that she gathered. E.g. “Now, I understand one of the general objectives of the new information system is to be able to extract reports and inquiries on demand from any browser on a PC, laptop, Blackberry or PDA”. She pauses to jot some details of those facts down The bad points were: Inez seems to have her eye on the clock and she avoids going into detail on some of the new areas of business that Gerry wants in the new system e.g. the company’s proposed environmental specialist division, is not analysed by Inez. She also does not analyse sufficiently the Safety System. At times she does not seem to be listening to Gerry. Gerry talks about the environmental area more than once, but she does not to pick up on it sufficiently. However, to be fair to Inez, at the end of the interview she does say that in their next meeting she intended to look at some of the tasks in more detail.  Did Inez elicit the information...
