The soft drink company put a deal out there, which promised a reward of a Harrier Jet for whoever would reach 7 million company points. But when a customer reached the 7 million points it remained to be seen if the company would keep there end of the bargain. What are the 4 elements of a valid contract? There are four elements of a contract and when a party files a suit claiming a breach of contract; the first question the judge must answer is whether a contract existed between the parties. ...Running head: BINDINGS To make bindings or not to make bindings that is the question Natalie Johnson January 21, 2011 American Intercontinental University Abstract Many companies outsource for their companies benefits. Others have learned that outsourcing was not such a great idea and that it caused more problems than solved them. The Ski Pro Corporation has now decided to start making cross country skis instead of sticking with just producing water skis. The Ski Pro Corporation now needs to decide if it is better to make the bindings that the new skis require or outsource the making of the bindings. To make bindings or not to make bindings that is the question The Ski Pro Corporation would like to know if they should make the bindings or outsource them to a subcontractor. The Ski Pro Corporation should just make the bindings only because if they outsource it will cost an extra $0.50 per pair. That extra $0.50 spent on outsourcing could eventually add up over time. Calculation: Direct Labor: $35 Direct Material: $30 Total Overhead: $15 Making Bindings: Labor: $35 * 10,000 = $350,000 Material: $30 * 10,000 = $300,000 Overhead: $15 * 10,000 = $150,000 Total Cost: 350,000 + 300,000 + 150,000 = $800,000 Outsource Bindings: Purchase Labor: 350,000 * 10% = $35,000 Purchase Material 300,000 * 20% = $60,000 Variable Overhead: 50,000 * 10% = $5,000 Variable Overhead Costs need to be calculated. Part I: Adjacency Matrix and Shortest Path Construct a graph based on the adjacency matrix that appears below. Label all nodes with indices consistent with the placement of numbers within the matrix. ⌈0 | 6 | 0 | 5 | 0⌉ | | 6 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 3 | | | 0 | 1 | 0 | 4 | 8 | | | 5 | 0 | 4 | 0 | 0 | | ⌊0 | 3 | 8 | 0 | 0⌋ | | | | | | * Describe the graph and why it is consistent with the matrix. The Graph above is an undirected graph. As the lines are not directed towards a particular node, the lines or edges go both ways. It is consistent with the matrix because the matrix is defining the edges. * How many simple paths are there from vertex 1 to vertex 5? Explain. There are 3 paths. 1-2-5, 1-2-3-5, 1-4-3-5. * Which is the shortest of those paths? That would be the 1-2 path. ...Unit 3 – Individual Project American InterContinental University ACCT310 – Managerial Accounting Abstract This paper will provide explanation of contribution margins, a determination of an annual break-even point, and operating income of Andre’s Hair Styling with calculations supporting answers. All calculations of business are based on each barber being paid $9.90 per hour working 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. Rent and other expenses equal $1,750.00 per month. Expenses include forty cents per client for shampoo, while services include haircuts priced at twelve dollars each. A revised or new contribution method, where barbers will receive wages of $4.00 per hour plus $6.00 per haircut. Contribution margin is revenue minus variable expenses. Meaning how much a company’s revenue will contribute to fixed expenses and net income. The contribution margin is also useful in determining a company’s break-even point (AccountingCoach.com, n.d.). At Andre’s Hair Styling haircuts are $12.00 with a shampoo expense of $ .40, while barber compensation is a fixed cost. Contribution margin per head Hair cut price – Shampoo expense $12 - $.40 = $ 11.60 per head When planning a company’s future, management must plan to predict the volume of activity, the cost incurred sales to be made, and profits to be received. ...Unit 3 individual project By Russell Ponder American InterContinental University Abstract Many people are unaware of the laws that affect their daily life. They don’t know that there are certain laws that police must abide by when it pertains to search warrants. We all should know the definition of probable cause. Probable cause must be based on facts. There are many factors that go into probable cause, Observation what an officer can see smell or hear, expertise the skills the officer obtains, information the info that is provided by a victim witness or informant. Circumstantial Evidence, evidence that implies a crime but doesn’t prove it. There are exceptions in the probable cause issue like the section 44 terrorism act which states that it enables the police to define a space and time to stop any person or vehicle and seize anything that could be connected to terrorism. The section also states that the police don’t have to have reasonable suspicion that an offence has been committed. Some reasons for legal warrantless searches are any immediate threat public safety in example of someone screaming in a private room the police can have the door opened by force if necessary to determine if a violent crime is in progress they can then seize anything related to the crime that is in plain evidence. Unit 3 Ip Art Appreciation

...Unit 3 Individual Project Art Appreciation HUMA 205 June 25, 2013 Abstract I will attempt to compare and contrast two pieces of art work from the renaissance period. Out of our textbook I chose a piece by Masaccio, The Holy Trinity. The piece of art I chose from a website is from Leonardo da Vinci called Madonna and Child. Both pieces of art are masterpieces of the early renaissance period. Renaissance Paintings and the Artists For many Europeans the renaissance was a period of achievement and worldwide exploration. It was a time of discovery. A time of new and renewed understanding that changed the medieval times and laid the foundation for modern society. Masaccio became the first major painter of the Italian Renaissance. He greatly influenced the art of painting in the renaissance. He moved Italian painting away from the idealizations of Gothic art and presenting his work as a more profound, natural, and humanist world. The Holy Trinity was the last painting he did and is considered one of his greatest masterpieces. Masaccio constructed his masterpiece with simplicity and naturalistic, three dimensionality. (The Holy Trinity by Masaccio, nd) The Holy Trinity was one of the first paintings Masaccio used the linear perspective. Linear perspective is a mathematical system used for creating three dimensional shapes and figures on a flat surface. He used perspective to make the illusion of three dimensions. The perspective lines draw the viewer...

XYZ Stock Market Information Krf=2% XYZ’s beta =1.64 XYZ’s current annual dividend = $.80 XYZ’s 3-year dividend growth rate (g) = 8.2% Industry P/E = $4.87 KS= (Risk Free Rate) + Beta (Market Premium) KS= (0.2) + 1.64 (.075) KS= (0.2) + 0.123 KS= 0.143 or 14.3% Stock Price= Estimated dividend/ (Cost of Equity-Growth) .80/(14.3%-8.2%) .80/6.1% $13.11 The current stock price is $76.28, which depicts a difference of $63.17 between the stock price above and the current stock price. Such a large difference might be from all of these factors: 1. When figuring the rate of return, we assumed a market risk premium of 7.5%. This type of assumption is not correct because the market risk premium changes every day, and when this happens, XYZ’s required rate of return would be affected; thus affecting the stock price as well. 2. The growth rate used to do the math was 8.2%. The present XYZ growth rate might be higher than this rate, thus a difference with the growth rate could possibly result in a different price per share. 3. The XYZ price per share had been going up over the past month. This particular raise in the share price could have caused non-experienced shareholders to spend lots on the XYZ stock, thus causing the share price to increase.
