Costa, barista.
Employability skills:
Suitable qualifications; the suitable qualifications for the job role at Costa are basic qualifications. The candidate is required at least a C in English and maths. The job role is not to academically demanding as all training would be given at the job premises. The candidate must have simple ICT skills to work the till and also a suitable range of customer service skills, so they can portray Costas’ image. Obviously the correct qualification for being a barista is required.
Experience in similar role; experience can give you an edge over other candidates applying for this job. This is because there would be less training needed as you already know the companies procedures. The company will not have to fund the full training that a candidate without experience would need. The requirement of having experience is not vital. This is because Costa will supply all training.
Knowledge of products/services; the knowledge of the coffee and knowledge of the store will benefit you over somebody who doesn’t know anything about the store. This is because you could understand customers easier and give them better service. For example; one of the products sold in the store could be known to the public differently to what it is actually called. Because you have the knowledge off this, if the customer asks for the product you know exactly what they want.
Experience of specific industry; it helps to have this experience as it helps you understand the backroom running of the business and you can estimate the managers’ expectations and aspirations.
Effectiveness in meeting personal and team/departmental targets; It is vital to be effective at meeting targets, because at the end of the day that is what you are expected to

Btec Business Level 3 Unit 3 Assignment 1 P1,P2,M1

...Introduction Marketing- is the action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research and advertising. A more simple definition is the right product, in the right place, at the right time, at the right price. It involves a business trying to understand its customers by identifying their needs and produce the products which satisfy those needs. The concept of marketing is that firms should analyse the needs of their customer and then make decisions to satisfy those needs, better than the competition. Nowadays most firms have adopted this marketing concept but it’s not always the case. The philosophy of this concept came around after World War II, when people had to be selective with the products they brought and only buy the ones that meet their needs and requirements but to businesses these would not always be obvious. Now companies have to always keep customers in mind when thinking of a product and the market is so competitive you will need to be the best product out there in that market to have the most chance of being brought. Three simple questions are often used when businesses decided to come up with a new product; what do customers want? Can we develop it while they still want it? How can we keep our customers satisfied? All being very good and valid questions to ask which will help to increase customer satisfaction as they are always in their minds. The two businesses I have chosen to use in order to compare and contrast their marketing...

...P2- Influencing Factors User Side  Connection Speed  Browser  PC Memory Connection Speed A user’s connection speed will heavily influence how fast web pages will load. So there might not be anything wrong with the server or the website itself and might just be your connection. If you are a customer who has dial-up then it will definitely take you longer to load a page, over a customer that has for example Virgin Media fibre optic. Also if you are using mobile broadband it may take longer if you are in an area with bad signal and you are not getting 4G. So make sure you have fairly fast internet before you complain about slow servers hosting the sites. Browser Some people think using an older web browser might not make a difference but...
