One of the world’s biggest problems today is terrorism. Some countries are ruled by it. I don’t think any country does enough to stop it, even the United States. Terrorism is defined as the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political reason. The state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization. A terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government. I don’t know about you but that sounds pretty problematic to me. Something that no one on this planet should have to deal with. The purpose of this paper to give everyone and idea about the problem this world faces and maybe throw out a few ideas for a solution, especially in the Middle East.

According to the National Counterterrorism Center there were 3,252 acts of terrorism around the world in 2004. In 2005 that number jumped to 10,873. Every year since then up to 2011 the number has been above 10,000, jumping as high as 14,415. Thinking about those numbers its very obvious that whatever the dumb asses running this country, as well as other countries around the world, are doing, it’s not enough. The year the World Trade Center was hit, 2001, there were only about 800 acts of terrorism. One might think that after 9/11 we would get the situation locked down and that number would drop. Obviously not!

The problems that terrorism causes can be felt by everyone. You used to be able to go to the airport twenty minutes before a flight and have no problem catching the flight. These days if you’re not two hours early, you don’t stand a chance. That’s caused by terrorist. That’s just one small example of how terrorism has affected our lives. If you look at some of the acts of terror we have had right here in America, they have had the biggest impact on us. Look at all the school shootings that take place around the country.
