This law is about the sale of goods. The products must be as described of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. 2. Data protection act (1998)
This act limits the amount of your personal data can be given out to people without the consumer knowing. The limitations of this are that you may not be able to access the information you want to access. 3. Acceptable languages
This makes the people who are serving you in shops and on the market to speak to you in a suitable manner. This limits the shop assistants to speak to you in a bad manner.

4. Consumer protection from unfair trading (2008)
This act protects the consumer when they are buying goods
5. Consumer protection (distance selling) regulations 2000
The distance selling act is a regulation that protects consumers when they shop online or when they enter contracts between businesses. An example of this can be when a consumer enters a mobile phone contract.
6. Pressure groups
A group that tries to influence public policy in the interest of a particular cause.
7. Consumer credit act.
This act regulates the consumer credit and the consumers hire regulations. This is good because it limits the amount of people that can get your personal credit information
8.Consumertism
This act regulates the promotion or protection in the interest of consumers
9.Volantery codes of practise
This rule is in place to protect so that advertisements are not mislead with children and ofer sectors that are similar to it.
