The United Sates was the golden crock-pot of the major innovations of democracy and the future of what lies ahead of this newly crafted country. During the early 1800s, major figures entered presidency such as the late George Washington and the new president taking the throne, Thomas Jefferson. Major pieces of law came to play that they enforced after Congress drafted them, all abiding the same regulations as the constitution. The constitution was written by the constitution convention in 1787 outlining the basic freedoms every citizen in the newly found republic of the United States should have. It isn’t one or the other, but rather in fact, both at the same time. While the United States was blooming, the true goal of a true United States Democracy shined between the Constitutions and the President’s own character, both working in synergy. In the late 1790s, the independent United States with a newly formed Democracy emerged. The most important aspect within the newly founded 3 house government was the President; this is where most of their character shines throughout the United States. When Thomas Jefferson came along, he had the same character as Washington; that being running the government as like a militia just so we can perfect it flaws. Inside the article A Documentary History of the United States by Richard and Alexander Heffner, Thomas Jefferson emphasized in his inaugural speech: “It is said that man cannon be trusted with the government of himself.
