FATA MORGANA “Not everything you see is what it appears to be.”
Fata morgana or mirage is a term wherein your eyes play tricks on you, particularly in hot weather. It is caused by the distortion of light through alternate layers of hot and cool air. A fata morgana can change in various ways within just a few seconds of time, including changing to become a straightforward superior mirage. Fata Morgana mirages are visible to the naked eye, but in order to be able to see the detail within them, it is best to view them through binoculars, a telescope, or as is the case in the images here, through a telephoto lens. In relation to this, there is no doubt that all of us need to make decision in many situations. And depend on these situations we make either quick decisions or deliberate ones. However, sometimes we must make fast decisions and most of time they are right. But we need occasionally to take time to think before build any thought about things that may affect our life. So make quick decision is not always wrong.
Astronomy is believed to be one of the things that unlocked the early history of knowledge. The Catholic Church believed the theory of Ptolemy, geocentric, wherein the planets, stars, and sun are revolving around the earth. But according Nicolaus Copernicus, all the planets, including the earth, are revolving around the sun or namely heliocentric. By 1632, an Italian scientist and mathematician Galileo Galilei published a book comparing the heliocentric and geocentric theory and said that the theory of Copernicus is more accurate. Because of this, Galileo Galilei was given an inquisition by the Catholic Church. Sir Isaac Newton from England explained all the things, from planets to laws of gravity at inertia. Sir Isaac Newton is also known for being the inventor of calculus. History, is it a blessing or lesson? People say that a certain thing happens because of two reasons: it is either a blessing or a lesson. A blessing in a way that it is a cure that teaches us what to do in a certain situation and a lesson in a way that teaches us what to not to do in a certain situation. For example, deciding on the right thing to wear to a party. It is easy to decide on what is wrong to wear to a party, such as deep-sea diving equipment or a pair of large pillows. But deciding what is right is much trickier. It might seem right to wear a peach dress, for instance, but when you arrive there could be several other people wearing the same thing, and you could end up being handcuffed due to a case of mistaken identity. It might seem right to wear a 6 inches pair of shoes, but there could be a sudden flood at the party, and your shoes would be ruined. And it might seem right to wear a suit of armor to a party, but there could be several people wearing the same thing, and you could end up being caught in a flood due to a case of mistaken identity and find yourself drifting out to sea wishing that you were wearing deep-sea diving equipment after all. The truth is that you can never be sure if you have decided on the right thing until a situation arrived in front of your nose, and by then it is too late to go back and change your mind, which is why the world is filled with people doing terrible things and wearing ugly clothing. The point is not to wear deep-sea diving equipment at all times but to ready for the coming consequences of the decision you chose. Because just like a fata morgana phenomenon, a thing may appear to be the solution to your problem, but when you come closer to it, when you gained your energy to choose that thing and neglect all the other options, that thing appeared to be the opposite of what it seemed to be at first. Instead of being the solution to your enormous problem, it only carried you to a full-blooded problem. History is not about those persons who played a heroic role to the society or about the ruins of a building built years ago that witnessed a historical situation. History is about what these people did yesterday and its effect on the society today. History is like a chain reaction wherein its series of events is so related to each other that each one initiates the next. It is about how we are going to respond to it so that it’s not only us who benefits but also those people in the future generation. But like fata morgana phenomenon, a solution may benefit you regarding your problem, but bad circumstances have a way of ruining things that would otherwise be unpleasant. Not every decision is proportional to solution, sometimes; such decisions are equivalent to regrets. One of the most difficult things to think about in life is one’s regrets. Something will happen to you, and you will do the wrong thing, and afterwards, you’ll wish you had done something different. And what happens in that certain place can stain your feelings for that location, just as ink can stain a white shirt. You can wash it, and wash it, and still never forget what has transpired or what happened and made everybody sad.
“You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.” The expression doesn’t really have to do with flies. It is a fancy way of saying that you are more likely to get what you want by acting in a sweet way, like honey, rather than in a distasteful way, like vinegar. If we are going to take those problems positively, depending on its pros and cons, there’s a possibility that we can overcome it with a smile on our face. Occasionally, vents in one’s life become clearer through the prism of experience, which means that things tend to become clearer as time goes on. For instance, when a person is just born, they usually have no idea what curtains are and spend a great deal of their first months wondering why on earth Mommy and Daddy have hung large pieces of cloth over each window in the nursery. But as the person grows older, the idea of curtains becomes clearer through the prism of experience. The person will learn the word “curtains” and notice that they are actually for keeping a room dark when it is time to sleep, and/or for decorating a window area. Eventually, they will entirely accept the idea of curtains, and may even purchase some curtains of their own, and it is all due to the prism of experience. To conclude, it takes time for a thing to really bloom. Just like in the evolution of facts about the universe. And just like fata morgana, wherein you really need to observe the scenery for moment of time for you to distinguish what you are looking at.
