Arms, Militia and the Rights of the People
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.”(2nd amendment, U.S Constitution) The framers of the Constitution wanted to create a government that was governed by the people. They felt the best way to control the government was through “checks” to make sure the government did not have too much power. The founders decided one way to check the government was to allow each citizen the right to bear arms. Originally, Section one; Article eight of the Constitution was written to give the Federal Government power to raise, organize and maintain a militia. This was vital to keeping the freedoms they had secured from Brittan. However, they did not want the Government to have “a standing army” that could impose on the rights of the people. On one side, the government had to be powerful enough to defend the country, but not so powerful that it would infringe on the liberty of the people. The leaders felt by allowing each person the right to bear arms would keep the government in check from imposing its will on the country. After the Constitution was written, the leaders had to convince each state to ratify the Constitution. Many of the states delegates were concerned about giving the central government too much power. The second amendment was one answer to the delegate’s concerns. More than two hundred years after the Constitution was ratified, gun sales have continued to increase over the years. Ammunition is more and more difficult to purchase and the cost is going up. Why? It is because there are leaders in the

Business Plan Uofp

...* Career Development Plan Part II—Development of a Training and Mentoring Program * August 16, 2010 Human Capital Management HRM/531 InterClean has 90 days before its announcement about its new strategic focus. As a manager, I have spent some time choosing who will be on my sales team. I already have an idea of some of the strengths of my new team members because of the skill's analysis Human Resources conducted. I would begin the planning process for what training is needed for my team by sitting down with each individual employee. At this meeting I would inquire about their current and future goals, identify how they learn best, determine what they can contribute to the team and what they feel their present training needs are in order for them to be a successful member of the team. I would also determine if any of them would be willing to share their experiences with their peers or would be willing to help train their peers in the areas and skills they already possess that will be crucial to the team's success. I would also inquire if they have ever worked in a team and what their feelings are about regarding this. I would have done some of this during my interviews with these individuals and determined their buy-in into InterClean's goals prior to choosing them to be on my team. My next step would be to sit down with them as a group. I want to determine and discuss how they envision the training and what will work best for them as a team. I want their...

Uofp 571 Week 1 Individual Assignment

...Business Structures FIN/571 Corporate Finance May 12, 2014 Business Structures Business structures are used depending on the type of business that is being formed. According to the Small Business Administration, there are six types of business structures that are based on the needs of the business that if being formed. The six types of business structures are Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, Cooperative, Limited Liability Company (LLC), S Corporation, and Corporation. Each business structure offers both positive and negative aspects that must be weighed by the business owner to find the best fit. A sole proprietorship offers the easiest form of business structure. There is only one owner that is entitled to all profits made by the organization. On the down side, there is little distinction between the business and the owner. The owner of a sole proprietorship may receive all profits from the business but is also personally responsible for all debts that go along with the company. Partnerships offer business owners a way to split the liability that goes along with owning and operating a business. However, a negative aspect of this would be the requirement to share a predetermined percentage of the profits that are made by the business. There is also the chance of having disagreements when it comes to business decisions because there are multiple parties involved in the organization. Cooperatives are formed based on the needs of the business members. Profits are distributed...

Appendish

...Associate Level Material Appendix G Ethical Actions Worksheet Write a 100- to 150-word response to each of the following questions: • Was there anything in either the University of Phoenix Student Code of Conduct or the Student Code of Academic Integrity that surprised you? If so, what was it? Why were you surprised? If not, why not? Nothing really surprised me as I feel that the UofP Student Code of Conduct is very essential to influence learning. As any other institution there will be guidelines that one must follow, these are not intended to anger anyone just simply aid in the educating process. If I were to think of these rules to be unfair, I would analyze each rule in question put myself in an administrators’ position and see how unorganize things would be without this particular rule. • What did you learn about the behaviors considered important for an ethical learner or student in the University of Phoenix learning community? Being an ethical learner is the best route to take, as students we can become overwhemled and the easy way out will seem like the best option. Taking the easy road will only short change a person’s education, for example, taking a paper written by someone else will only take away from your learning experice in writing papers. There will come a time that you will need to use your own brain to compose theories and ideas and if you fall short on experience, there will be no way for you to be successful in achieving the grade...

Bis221 Week 3

...Week 3 TEAM Discussion Wireless Technology BIS/221 July 17, 2016 Michelle Morrell Wireless Technology Today’s business world it is much more competitive than in the past. Wireless Technologies have changed the way businesses market to the public and or vendors. In the past, companies were typically limited to land lines, big desk top computers, and its little network such as local town, friends, and family. A company’s growth was, let’s just say, slow paced, where as in today’s highly technologically advanced world, business growth and down fall could be lighting speed in comparison. An e-commerce business can start up and within six months can be making over a million dollars. Therefore, it is imperatively important that companies operate using information systems and security plans to keep them on track with their clients, prospects, goals, budget, inventory, profits and much more. My team (me) was instructed to discuss the importance of information systems and information security in the work environment. In my opinion; this conversation is highly difficult when you are the only party adding input into the conversation. I was the only person who applied any conversation to the topic, so therefore, I contributed one-hundred percent of the team effort, however, and this is not going to distract me from talking about such an important topic for today’s business atmosphere. I work within the private sector, which I am sure not unlike other big business settings. The...

The site has had major issues and a multitude of customer complaints. The following paragraphs, and accompanying tables, will review the problem RPD is facing and offer a potential solution for its executive leadership team. Describe the Situation Issue and Opportunity Identification RPD started over 35 years ago. It has since focused on America’s richest families however, the progress of the internet and the recent real estate booms, there has been a lot of change and RPD must also change if it wishes to remain successful.
