I will skim through each chapter and pick out the important parts. Those parts I will read, after reading a question I will go back to the reading and re read what I need to. I think I might have to reconfigure my approach and just read through the material the first time, take notes and use highlighting methods to comprehend the readings more. I find that the readings have been fairly easy so far and that may be giving me a false sense of confidence, so rather than being hit by surprise later I will be proactive and start using these methods now. • How might you incorporate three of the suggestions covered this week into your study time? I learned a lot about reading strategies and the best one I see that can be incorporated immediately is highlighting key sentences or phrases. I can also use the reading with concentration method, by removing myself from any and all distractions while reading I believe I will comprehend more information that I read. First I start by reading the syllabus, Highlight the main important areas then go in to the material and separate the pages……. So when I have time I can read and go thru and most likely follow not in that exact order but now as I been reading I can at least sort it out in order. 1. Previewing: Slowly page by page to be able to see how the content extended is 2. Marking: Before the course I did not marked nothing but now I try to mark the main content discussed on class or more closely related to the weekly questions. 3. Reading with Concentration: This is the time when I take advantage of brake times or just simply night time after every one is sleep to be able to concentrate and keep myself away from any situation that will distract me from what I need to focus. 4.
