For example, tribal dances, local jcounsels, and yearly whaling expeditions are all part of their activities in and around the city. A few miles away from that lies the city’s Chinatown, whose quality of oriental cooking is world-renowned. Vancouver’s cultural differences compared to Tacoma are so high in fact, that 52% of the population speaks a language other than English at home, compared to a mere 19%. Many of its people are from China, Japan, Germany, France, Ukraine, and Greece. This type of diversity results in the fact that Vancouverites tend to be very welcoming and understanding, according to “welcomebc.ca”, which is perfect for anyone recently deciding to move to the area for the first time. Career specialty or not, finding a job in Vancouver’s stable economy should not be an issue. The average yearly income of someone who lives in Vancouver is just above $49,000. Another promising reason to move to Vancouver is the fact that it has a very low crime rate. Because it has been dropping year after year, it has produced a much more relaxed feeling to the whole environment. Tacoma on the other hand, was rated #1 most dangerous city in all of Washington, according to “city-data.com”. Vancouver is actually a healthy city all around. People are obsessed with staying fit and being well educated, job outlook is great, and wages are decent. Although the cost of living in a city that was chosen to host the Winter Olympics in 2010 is a little bit on the high side, its citizens are very much aware that the price is worth it. A decent one-bedroom apartment will run an average of $1,300 per month. Although this is slightly higher than the Tacoma average of $1,100 for a
