Benjamin Franklin

...Josh Maynor Bradford vs Franklin American Literature, in its early period, had a great deal in common with the settlers of America in its beginnings. Authors and settlers alike both were teaming with new ideas and thoughts of change to this new world. Starting with the earliest authors, most wrote on the spiritual and divine way of life, but as the years passed more and more writers seemed to direct their focus toward logic and reason. William Bradford was a very influential writer in during the time of Early American Literature and maybe even perceived as the greatest in the early period despite his differences of style when compared to others writers such as Ben Franklin. Among the many successful writers of this period, these two historical figures played a major role in early American literature. Although both Franklin and Bradstreet were closely related when speaking of time periods, they were different when it came to views on certain topics, one of which including knowledge. William Bradford, who was a leader of early English settlers, was born in 1590. He, along with many others, wanted to leave the English church and be able to get to the new world where freedom of religion reigned. Bradford and countless others were now known as the Puritans and also known as “Separitists” for leaving “The Church”, as to say it was viewed to be the one and only right church to be a part of. The discussion will be on the computers, to printers, to ordering supplies, and even how employees sign in and out for payroll purposes. Business Technology – How has it improved or not improved business needs Computers The technology division at my place of employment is currently looking at ways to replace our current computers with energy efficient computers. In the past employees were asked to shut the computers down completely, however, that didn’t work for numerous reasons. The idea was brought up to replace our existing computers with energy efficient computers but still the computer must perform with high performance as the computers we currently have. As an administrative assistant it is sort of a benefit because assistants are the first line of employees who receive the newest or latest upgrades, however, it can also be a downfall. Many times with the new software it simply does not meet county expectations. When the expectations do not meet the standards it often times holds up the administrative work progress. This is due to the removal of the software that was installed, or the software didn’t work correctly, some computers we...

...drives Exercise 2.2.1 If an organization has 30 users, each with his or her own PC, what is the comparative cost of buying a $120 printer for each user versus the cost of buying a single, higher-capacity $500 printer that can be used by the entire office? What is the drawback to having only a single printer? What is the cost of having two additional backup printers for the office compared to having individual printers? How many shared printers can be purchased and still be less expensive than individual printers? It would cost $3,900 if each user had their own printer V.S. buying a high capacity single printer for $500. On top of that if ink cartridges cost around $32.00 dollars apiece for each printer cartridge. It would cost a total of $960 for ink cartridges for all 30 printers. If a single printer was connected to a single workstation then it would be only tied to that workstation. No other users would be able to use printer connected to the workstation. The cost of having two backup printers would depend on what type of printers. There are two known types of printers one LaserJet or standard color ink printers. LaserJet printers can run around $500 each V.S. $120-$150 for a standard color printer. Still the cost of having two additional backup printers is less than having each workstation have their own. You can buy up to four printers costing $500 apiece and still come out money ahead. Even if you spent $100 dollars on LaserJet Refill ink cartridges you still would...
