What is more important:
Relationships or Ambitions?

There is no doubt, such personal characteristics as following high ambitions and making grateful relationships play an essential part in our modern life. These sides of personality predetermine human’s consciousness and lifestyle. But the question is what is more important for us? I would like to share some of my views regarding this problem.
It seems obvious to me that ambitions and relationships cannot be introduced to the choice. From my point of view, both characteristics accompany human being for a whole life and we should not talk about them separately.
To begin with people’s ambitions. The journalist Rod Dreher, who was presented in the article we analyzed last lesson, sad next words: “I was caught up in a culture of ambitions”. I think it is not bad. Actually, every moment of our life gives us especial tasks, challenges and showing your attitude in order to manage these problems – is considered to be extremely helpful for everybody. That is what an ambitious person does. In addition, while achieving aims and goals, people improve their abilities becoming more successful, more professional and more hard-working.
Another human’s feature is having relationships with the society. “The idea that we are self-reliant is a core American myth” - said Dreher. I am fully agreed with him. Apparently, the most social being on the Earth, who needs communication and connected relationships, is the mankind. To my mind, even those who think they are independent from the interpersonal contact will sooner or later handle to other people. Because “we are better when we are together” (the name of Jack Jonson’s song). Things like friendship, love, happiness, fun, care, individual development are in a close connection with our relationships. So, I strongly believe that getting on with people also has a substantial

The people who live the vegan lifestyle practice veganism because it promotes health and peace while decreasing the suffering of animals and humans (Fundukian 2009). Many people do not understand what a vegan is and they often get veganism confused with vegetarians. A vegetarian is a person who eats only eat fruits, vegetables, nuts, and grains (Vegetarian 2012). The differences between a vegan and a vegetarian are that vegetarians could also eat and drink animal based products like dairy, eggs, and honey. Individuals who consider themselves as a vegan also do it for health reasons but mainly become vegan for ethical reasons. But is becoming a vegan the best thing to do for everyone’s life? There are a couple of health benefits for people who are vegan. The benefits of being a vegan are decreases in diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and lower mortality rates (Boston University 2016). Studies have shown that the risk of diabetes was about twice as high for non-vegans than the people that are vegan. Studies have also shown that the people who chose to be vegan increases the chance to prevent...
