Special effects : A3d live­action Computer animated advanture drama! Based on a novel by Yann Martel, Directed by Ang Lee successful and why or why not. Very much successful movei film and there is no doubt that the film’s success specialy comes down to the visual effects — it did just win an Oscar Discuss if the effects supported the story or were simple visual spectacle. The film is mostely based on VFX, It would have been impossible to achive such a success and images without VFX artists. If I break down The film base on VX : Creating The ocean as a character in a tank then matching the sterio and reflections of water. Then Matching waves, Skies above and their reflections on the water­ Animating a tiger­ Richard Parker is one amazing digital charchter, Tiger animation pipeline­ Rendering fur­ Mixing sims – how to create a wet tiger­ A zebra, a hyena and an orangutan­ Making fish fly , The Island challenges­ Whale of a time and…. Explain. The visuel effect used in each above category can be a chapter of a book to study ! but The visuel effect company for Life of Pi is called R&H . The 3D effects for the film were created by a team of artists from all of the R&H divisions around the world, including locations like Malasia, Taiwan and Vancouver. Life Pie can stand among one of the first time Films with a Remote rendering. Every shot is artisticly exploration, to make the ocean a character and make it interesting and visually stunnin. The VFX in this film is not just a technic it is an art they way they integrating their animals in different situations and environments, pushing them to do more, and understanding how all of this can succeed both visually and dramatically and be this much belivable.
