Victoria Jenee Banks was born January 31, 1993, in Birmingham, Alabama at the University Of Birmingham Hospital. She grew up in the neighborhood of Eastlake on the east side of Birmingham. At the age of seven her mom moved her family to Forestdale, Alabama because of the recent spike in crimes in her neighborhood.
Victoria was raised by a single mother of three and because of this, Victoria grew up quickly and had a sense of independence at an early age. Her mother, who is a colon cancer survivor, raised her to be a leader not follower. She was taught to use her own mind and make decisions for herself. Her upbringing played a major part in the person who she is today. Victoria’s mom, relatives, and environment growing up had a direct impact on her personality and future. It takes a village to raise a child. She is a product of her an environment, but chose to keep her head held high and keep pushing through life no matter what was thrown her way.
Victoria started First Grade at Crumly Chapel Elementary School in the middle of the school year. She continued at Crumly Chapel all the way through fifth grade and moved on to middle school. She started sixth grade at Bottenfield middle school, where she decided to join the band and play the clarinet to mingle and gain a variety of friends.…show more content… In 2010, Victoria only took a few campus visit her senior year of high school. Her first and only choice was the University of South Alabama located in Mobile, Alabama. South was the only school she applied to and was certain that she would be accepted.
