Virginia Wolf's sentimental diction reminds the reader about what they have learned from their past experiences with her talk about how "what life had been, had one's life been different" and how "it is impossible to have every experience fully". Virginia had very vivid and detailed remembrances of their fishing trips. She describes the fish and the jelly fish in the water, and she writes of how there was so much excitement that should wasn’t sure how to “convey” it to the readers.
