...Introduction Every four years, the United States presidential election becomes one of the country’s biggest news stories for a large chunk of that year. During this time there are a great many words both spoken and written about how people are going to vote and what factors supposedly lead them to vote a certain way. It seems that much of the time the analysis of these issues is of a qualitative nature, and with that in mind this paper will attempt to approach the problem from a statistical point of view. That is not to say there is a lack of quantitative research on how specific demographics tend to vote; indeed, some of the good data and information out there will be used to inform this paper’s hypotheses and econometric model. This study will focus on the 2012 U.S. presidential election Barack Obama and Mitt Romney (there were several other candidates on the ballot, but none received a significant portion of the votes). I will review my primary and secondary thinking styles as revealed by the LSI, along with one limiting style. I will also discuss how these styles have an impact on my potential management styles, and my personal styles. Even though I may not like to admit the accuracy of the LSI results I find they are shockingly accurate. As I have spent the past couple of days reviewing the result and contemplating the interpretation it has opened my eyes. As shown in my LSI Circumplex my primary style is The Oppositional Style. This trait is found in the 7 o’clock position of the LSI Circumplex and is defined as “…scale measures our tendency to use the defensive and aggressive strategy of disagreeing with others, and to seek attention by being critical and cynical.” (Human Synergistics Inc, 2010). ...After watching the videos given, it shows that handling employees can be very difficult day to day causing stressful situations. All employees are different and perform tasks in diverse ways. I noticed that introverts tend to refresh by spending time alone. These people tend to lose energy from being around people for extended periods of time and mainly big crowds. If I had to take care of my employees that were introverts, I would make sure I perform my manners in a correct way. I would teach them new skills in a private setting, give them time and space, and I wouldn’t interrupt them. They have the tendency to think everything through before doing so. One issue that I think may be their largest is the fact that they choose to have small stores. People feel cramped and they tend to become agitated, than in return can rub off on other customers and their employees. ...The Hurt Man The Hurt man is a short story written by Wendell Berry. It was published in 2003 and is about a young boy and his mom. The young boy’s name is Mat Feltner. He lives with his mother in what seems to be USA in the late 1800. The environment is described as though they lived in a small town on the prairie, with only all the necessities, such as saloons, a church and a bank. The story’s narrative point of view lies with the boy, Mat. Almost everything that is told is being told from his experience. The narrator is in third person and is omniscient but still leaves out information as t hough it is Mat himself who is telling the story.
