How are the roles of women different from the roles of men in a traditional synagogue?
In a traditional synagogue there are many roles which differ between men and women. Explain Jewish beliefs about divorce.
The Jewish belief about divorce is very mixed as some people disagree and some people agree with. Firstly, Divorce in Judaism is seen as a very bad thing as the splitting of two humans show disconnection in the Jewish religion which shows that there is problems in the religion which doesn’t give Judaism a good name for itself.
Secondly, divorce is seen as a bad option as by two humans splitting their relationship it means that there is a lack of sexual activity which means that there is no making of other lives. As it is a mitzvah to create another body through sexual intercourse, which means by the couple splitting up it they will not be able to fulfil that mitzvah.
On the other hand, in serious chases divorce in Judaism is a good thing. For example if the Husband was harassing or hurting the wife then there is exception to getting a divorce. As by the Husband hurting the wife it could lead to harsher consequences, for example the wife would not be able to create babies.
