Even in despair, our will determines us. To have hope; to not give up. To shine as if we are Immortals; like a star. This emphasis and description of hope remind me of a poet named Walt Whitman.
In the Walt Whitman poem, “On the Beach at Night” the poet describes the clouds as ferocious and mad tempered as he says, “While ravening clouds, the burial clouds, in black masses spreading, Lower sullen and fast athwart and down the sky”. He then mentions Jupiter and the sisters the Pleiades. He describes them as this “calm belt of ether”. He uses these lines as a way of showing the comparison of the light of the sky and the dark clouds.
Walt Whitman says “something that shall endure longer even than lustrous Jupiter. Longer than the sun or any revolving
