There is much debate about the question of is Brutus a patriot or betrayer. In Julius Caesar there is evidence for both Brutus being a patriot or a betrayer. However there is more evidence that Brutus is a betrayer than a patriot. This is because Brutus killed Caesar who was his friend. Also, Brutus was one of the main conspirators behind Caesar’s death. However Brutus may appear after Caesar’s death that he is a patriot because of his speech, but he says this trying to cover up what he really did. Brutus is a betrayer because he killed his friend, lead a treasonous plot against Caesar, and had a false sense of honor.
