...Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games or in short MMO. World of Warcraft or WoW is something I have enjoyed playing for the better part of six years. Playing this and a few other MMO’s is for me no different than watching TV after work or playing golf, etc. In the following few paragraphs I will cover and share the psychology behind MMO’s and online gaming. Psychology 101 of gaming would have to be social… the ability to interact and be part of a social group is for me one of the alluring points of playing World of Warcraft. Being somewhat of an introvert, online allows me to connect with others with similar likes in an environment that is comfortable for my personality. Gaming can bring about a level of prestige among or between players based on in game ranks, completed achievements, earning titles and other WoW related game activities. These competitive aspects that go along with WoW and other MMO’s can drive the social platform many of the gaming community is based on. Finding just one psychology view point for an MMO and WoW is hard to narrow down. There are many facets that cover a wide range of subtopics. Clinical, cognitive, developmental, personality, and positive psychology are all topics that can be found in online gaming and among gamers. What keeps me in the game after so many years is the sensation that I am needed, an important part of the community in which I play. Within WoW and several other MMO’s you have what are called “Guilds” or sub groups or an in...

...‘’WOW MOMENT’’! By Dii0909 What is a ‘’wow moment’’? Wow moment for each person is different and is depend from their dreams, feelings and expectations. For some ‘’wow moment’’ is child birth or good holidays, for others is one day in bed. We all are individual personalities and we all are so different, isn’t it? That is a reason why ‘’wow moment’’ for each person will be different. My ‘’wow moment’’ is my honey week in Egypt. Beautiful Egypt First of all, why Egypt is my wow moment it is because I never been in there before. Egypt is very beautiful country and same time very dangerous. I did spend my honey week with my husband in Hurghada, which is a beach resort town stretching some 40 km along Egypt’s Red Sea cost. It’s removed for scuba diving and has lots of diving shops. There are many different restaurants, night clubs and coffee shops. There are water is so blue like sky and sun is so big like beach ball. There are dolphins and very kind, smiling people who can speak around five different languages, including Russian, which is my language. There, every night, are fantastic shows for different taste and age. Real Egypt Secondly, Egypt is my wow moment because a contrast what you can see when you going somewhere out in town. There you can see other side of this country –rubbish on streets, poverty, soldiers and police around. Some houses look like a big scrap yards where everything placed somewhere around. There are lot of unfinished houses and people...

...Introduction The situation under investigation is Commerce Bank. Vernon W. Hill is the Founder and former CEO of Commerce Bank, which was founded in 1973 under the motto “The world,…did not need another “me-too” bank. The Bank started with no capital and no brand name, nonetheless Hill managed to differentiate himself from his competitors. Commerce Bank operates more comparable to retailers such as Starbucks and Home Depot rather than a typical bank. Many people choose said retailers over competitors due to buying into their brand. Commerce Bank has branded themselves as a bank that cares all about providing great service for their customers. One Strategy they have is encouraging customers to visits their branches by extended bank hours on the weekday and weekends. Due to this strategic approach in 2001 Commerce Bank experienced a growth of 40% deposit growth, whereas cumulative deposit growth in the United States was 5% in 2001. Commerce Bank method of attracted and retaining customers through outgoing friendly service was effective. Instead of remaining stagnant on customer service tactics, in 2002 Commerce Bank installed the “Retailtainment” program as a latest idea for WOW!ing customers. Competitors were beginning to adopt some of Commerce’s basic service offerings. Thus Commerce developed this program to continue to maintain their competitive advantage. The focus of this case analysis is to discuss how the company’s operation design supports Commerce’s competitive advantage...

...The Wow Project In the new economy, all work is project work. And you are your projects! Here’s how to make them all go Wow! First appeared: FC24, p.116 BY TOM PETERS I learned about the future of work by living in the projects — the kind of projects you routinely do at a professional-services firm. More years ago than I care to remember, I reported to the offices of McKinsey & Co. in San Francisco for my first day as a professional management consultant. At 9 a.m., I started to work. At 3 p.m. that afternoon, I was on an airplane to Clinton, Iowa to work on a project that involved an investment in a $150 million petrochemical plant, and even if you’d spotted me four letters, I couldn’t have spelled “petrochemical.” But that was life — in the projects. Fast-forward 25 years. All white-collar work is project work. The single salient fact that touches all of our lives is that work is being reinvented. The workplace revolution that transformed the lives of blue-collar workers in the 1970s and 1980s is finally reaching the offices and cubicles of the white-collar workers. For the blue-collar worker, the driving force behind change was factory automation using programmable machine tools. For the office worker, it’s office automation using computer technology: enterprise-resource-planning systems, groupware, intranets, extranets, expert systems, the Web, and e-commerce. After decades of wholesale neglect, companies are finally facing the fact of pathetic white-collar productivity...

...WHEN LOVE BREAKS FREE It was Monday morning; the sun is shining high above the heavens, with perfect blue paint with white puffy cottons. There I was sitting in the park looking above the sky and my thoughts came off wondering things which I couldn’t answer it. “This place never changed, this bench, this table” I said to myself, “could this be another dream which I always wanted to happened when I was a teenager?” those thought were playing at my mind every time I come over this park. My children are playing out there, with joy and a smile on their faces. Then one of them came to me while shouting “dad!” “yes mark, my son, what is it?” I replied. “Hey dad, how did you and mom end up being with each other? Became our parents?, because sister said to me you and mom really did not have each other” “son your sister is 18 and you are just 12 and this might end up not good for you because, well, me and your mother kept it a secret for you” “but dad?!”, he replied with a shock. “Ok, son ok, but promise me you won’t tell this to your mother ok?” “Yeah!! Sure pops” “I’m not that old, son.” There he sits in front of me while his face is covered with excitement. “Son way back when I was young, even though I’m still young up until now” “DAD!” “hahaha “ok, ok, I was a type of guy who is silent, an introverted person, whole barely speaks in class, in front of a person, or even to my “pretending friends”. But had this sense of let’s say principle to follow that always care for everyone...

...Mirror Mirror on the Wall"...we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." (Romans 8:37) We just can't help it everyday at some point we look in the mirror. To some it is an exercise in self-esteem: we see ourselves and say, "wow, I have a face that others could love!" But for most of us, it is more like an experience in reality: we see ourselves and think, "wow, I have a face that only a mother could love!" Either way, we all face questions like, "Why did God make me like this? Who am I? Does my life really matter? What do others think of the way I look and act? The problem is that we try and answer these questions from Hollywood's perspective- you know- Tinsel town? In Tinsel town everyone is beautiful and life is oh so much better than mine. Hollywood has created a monster called the "world mirror"... run for your lives! As a result, most teenagers suffer from what some call a poor self-image. They don't like the way they look. They think that they are being continually watched and criticized by others. After time and enough glances in the "world mirror" the poison of self-doubt, frustration, and discouragement creeps into their thinking. The real question, though, is not what we see when we look at our reflection in the "world mirror" Rather the true issue is what God sees when He looks at us - and that is a whole different story! The Bible tells us several truths about what He sees when He looks at us, because He is using the God Mirror so let's take a...

He was at a loss as he wondered what kind of marketing campaign would ensure that every family that should use a WaterHarvester received one. If he could answer this question, he could see the potential to significantly improve the living conditions for many of the amazing people he had met over the last couple of weeks during his April 2007 visit. Just yesterday, the first prototype of the WaterHarvester...

...Overview Happiness Express was started in 1989 by two brothers, Joseph and Isaac Sutton. They started the company with an initial investment of $10,000. By the end of the fiscal year ending March 31, 1994, the company had total revenues that were greater than $40 million. The company was growing at a tremendously fast rate and it was a wonder how they would continue this growth. They then bought the rights to Nickelodeon, Disney, Universal Studios, Warner Brothers and major publishing companies. The company used the slogan “In Kids We Trust” to show their commitment to the results of the research they performed to see what they kids liked and were willing to buy. When the company wanted to continue to grow, they needed to raise capital. They did this by an IPO in July of 1994. The price nearly doubled in just a few months. The company was given an award from Business Week for the “#1 Hot Growth Company” in 1995 after the year they had in 1994. Although everything seemed to be going great for the company, Wall Street was projecting a big loss for the fiscal year of 1995. But the company proved them wrong, as they increased net income from last year by nearly double. The company also increased their revenues by almost fifty percent. Happiness Express reported fourth quarter sales in 1995 as $12.8 million which was a very large increase from the $2.3 million they reported in the previous year. In September 1995, CEO Joseph Sutton admits that the forecast for 1996...

He also would trash talk every player, supposing that he was superior than everyone when he was not.”After hearing how rude and arrogant he was, I instantly began to hate him and so did everyone else. I said, “Ay, there is never any need to be rude when it is not justified, that is just wrong and an unmannered gentleman.” After this...

...Charlize: Hey Elise how are you? Did you like the brochure I gave to you? You know the “listen to god and live forever”? Elise: Yeah I guess it was alright Charlize: What do you mean? Didn’t you like it? Elise: No I did like it. It’s just that well I didn’t really believe the things it was saying. Charlize: Like what? Elise: It talked mostly about god’s word and his promises. I just didn’t get how such promises could ever come true. I mean it doesn’t seem real. The thought that God will destroy wickedness and everything bad in the world sounds impossible. Charlize: I can definitely see where you are coming from Elise. Have you ever heard of Cyrus? Elise: No I don’t think so. Charlize: Well, he was a ruler in the Persian Empire and lived over 2000 years ago. You might be thinking what’s interesting about this man? He was someone who was mentioned in the bible and was used by god to fulfil a prophecy. Do you know what a prophecy is????? Elise: Isn’t a prophecy something that will happen in the future? Charlize: Yes exactly. So if someone said something about the future and his words always came true, what would you think of that person? Elise: I suppose I would believe everything he said. Charlize: Well the bible is FULL of prophecies that have come true. For example Cyrus. Why don’t we learn a little bit more about him? Let’s have a look at Isaiah 44:26-28. Do you mind reading that? Elise: (READ) Charlize: Notice in verse 26 it talks about the one making the word...
