Williams Jr. Eng 221 Jun 11th, 2014 Dr. Rose Safir Subject: Web Conferencing Programs Dr. Safir, as you requested, I have a web conferencing program that our company can use for our future weekly status meetings. The program that I recommend is GoToMeeting. I chose GoToMeeting because it fits into the needs of the company for our web conference calls. Here are some of the key pointers that made me chose GoToMeeting over the other web conferencing programs. You can use this program to meet and collaborate with others around the world. For one low flat rate, you can provide in real time, presentations, demonstrations, online training and more. There is also an option to show your entire screen, or just a specific document. ...Dakotah McQuay Corporate Memos Eng/221 4/1/13 Christine Brazanskas Date: 4/1/13 To: Christine Brazanskas From: Dakotah McQuay Subject: Web Conferencing Software This memo is used to determine the best type of Web Conferencing software to be used. I did some research on various types of software, (InfiniteConferencing, Intercall, ClickMeeting) and have found that the best for our company is InfiniteConferencing. The pros on this software far outweigh the cons. The InfiniteConferencing software is a fair price of $35 a month, and with a company growing as quickly as we are, I believe that this is the best web conferencing program for us. This software allows up to 1000 participants, instant pulling, one click publishing with Microsoft Office, Full Desktop or Specific applications sharing, easy control passing, allows you to invite members on the fly, full Microsoft Outlook integration, and fully customizable session settings ("Http://www.onlinemeetingsource.com/web-Conferencing-Reviews/infinite-Conferencing-Review/", 2013). InterCall and ClickMeeting had many good credentials as well, but weren’t best suited for our company. InterCall could not be hosted on a Mac, which is used by many of our employees. The price per month was $42 dollars and didn’t allow as many participants. ClickMeeting only ran about $10, but was not as user friendly and required knowledge of the software. The functionality and security did not score as high as the other two types...

...Memo Date: April 11, 2011 To: Management To: Brittany Farrier RE: Web Conferencing Programs Research After conducting basic research on web conferencing, I have found quite a few programs that I believe would be well suited for our purpose. However, based on the rating on Infinite Conferencing, I have concluded that this be the program that we should use. My decision is based on the following: 1. Conferencing Features have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) 2. Audio and Teleconference features have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) 3. Video and Webcam features have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) 4. Security Features have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) 5. Help and support have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) 6. Ease of Use have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) This program has an overall “Excellent” rating which also drew my focus on this software compared to all of the other ones that I have researched. “Using Infinite Conferencing’s phone and web conferencing services, users can meet with two people or 5,000, so it’s flexible enough for team meetings or an investor relations event. Participants can present slides, share information, documents and ideas, enhancing discussion and making it quicker and easier to work together.” (Web Conferencing Comparison, 2011). It is also a very inexpensive program for our company if financial issues are...

...| Flex Technologies | Memo To: (Manager) From: Cory Beehler CC: Date: [ 12/2/2011 ] Re: Web Conferencing Programs Research Hello (Manager's name), This is the information I have found on the research project for Web Conferencing Programs. I have cited three different programs for web conferencing; Infinite, Cisco Webex, and FUZE Meeting. I believe the best choice would be Infinite. Infinite is highly adaptable as it runs across the major operating systems; Windows 7, Vista, XP, and Mac. The competitors Cisco Webex and FUZE meeting are limited on choices for operating systems. FUZE Meeting does not support Windows 7 and Cisco Webex does not support Windows 7 and Mac. If we need to upgrade our workstations from Windows XP Infinite would be the best choice. Regarding the features each conferencing program has Infinite can hold one-thousand attendees at once, file transfer to/from audience, leader-synchronization, and video/webcam integration. Cisco Webex and FUZE Meeting do not have any of these features and can only hold between 25-45 max number of attendees at once. An important issue I would like to bring to your attention about these programs is security features. I know we have been talking about application sharing being a priority for the meetings. I was checking out the security features of these three programs and found that Cisco Webex and FUZE Meeting do not have any security features for specific application sharing. This could be a huge issue...

...Memo To: Amy Brown From: David Carlson Date: 07/11/2011 Re: Research for a new, easy-to-use web conference program Message: On your request I have done some research into various web conferencing programs. Included is a table of the different programs I researched. In my research I came across several very good programs, but as I continued with my research one program stood out above the rest, Adobe Connect 8. When I did my research I was looking at usability, cost, features, and company reliability. Beck (2010) states, “Adobe Connect 8 is easier to use, offers better collaboration, richer audio and video experiences, improved access and extensibility, and increased security and support.” Connect is set up so that web conferencing is easier to setup and connect to. It has optimized screen control and enhanced audio and video controls. According to Info Tech (2011) "on a relative basis, Adobe maintained the highest Info-Tech Value Score of the vendor group." Value score: "Vendors that score high offer more bang for the buck(e.g. features, usability, stability, etc.)than the average vendor, while the inverse is true for those that score lower." (Info Tech, 2011) I recommend that we purchase Adobe Connect for our web conferencing needs. Not only it will it be easy to integrate into our system but it also has applications for eLearning and webinars, making it a great tool to help our people stay on top of the game. Our team would benefit greatly from most of them, but their value varies greatly by cost, usability, and resource usage. I have selected three different programs for your review. Software Selection Firstly, all of our onsite users are currently using the Microsoft Windows operating system. Some users located offsite use Macintosh OS X. This would have presented a problem in the past, but luckily almost every choice today allows for use in both cases. Software Number 1: Cisco WebEx This software is excellent. It allows for almost any application that could be desired in a business setting. The price is $19.99 a month for the annual plan, it allows for HD video conferencing, desktop sharing, mobile phone access, remote control, VOIP, and can be initiated by a single host computer. Software Number 2: Adobe Connect This software also allows for basically anything we could expand to use. It’s price is $45.00 a month per host. The service offers HD and SD video conferencing, desktop sharing, mobile phone access, remote control, VOIP, great document sharing support, and like all others listed here, a virtual shareable whiteboard...

Purpose The purpose of this proposal is to request your approval to evaluate the current video game tournament sign-up process and ultimately institute an entrance fee for all tournaments starting next semester. Summary When the TerpZone started running the video game tournament series, I personally did not know what to expect, as I was in charge of coming up with a schedule of games, implementing the schedule into the TerpZone calendar, coming up with various ideas to market the various tounrmanents, and actually hosting and running the tournaments. But as the results have shown, the TerpZone video game tournament series has been a huge success, and the attendance numbers have steadily increased as more students become aware of the possibilities that our tournaments offer. However, as this number has continued to increase and I have continued to implement different new strategies and additions to the tournaments, there still lies the problem of what measure of compensation the students...

I think Citrix Gotomeeting would be idle and the perfect software to communicate with one another at the job sights. It’s great for weekly conference calls. Gotomeeting would have a capacity of approximate 1 to 1000 people per conference.
