When evaluating websites for quality, there are a few main questions you have to ask to assess it correctly. For example, when comparing the websites “19 Natural Remedies for Anxiety” and “Anxiety Disorders: Attacks, Symptoms, Treatment” it’s easy to see which is the more credible source. Finding the right source is important for anyone who is researching a specific topic and when it comes to a mental illness there are many sources to stay away from. For this topic, the website “Anxiety Disorders: Attacks, Symptoms, Treatment” is the better source for a number of reasons. It has more topic specific information, with a wide variety of subtopics covering the whole illness of anxiety and all its disorders. This website also has more professional …show more content…
Website A was written for the purpose of enjoyment, for readers who looked up the topic of natural remedies for anxiety specifically. This website was not for research of any kind, none of the information was written by a professional and doesn’t have any actual facts on the disorder itself. Website B, however, is very different. It was written for the purpose of research or education. The articles are written by professionals that are easily contacted and has actual facts and details on Anxiety in depth, unlike Website A. Both websites do have some things in common, they both don’t have any bias on the subject and are written with correct spelling and grammar, but that doesn’t change the fact that for research Website B is the better choice. It also helps that Website B is a .org website which means association website, it’s run by a company named Healthcare Brands. Being a .gov site gives it more credibility. Website A is just a .com website, it’s run by Fox News which makes it a news bureau site. News bureau sites are not commonly used for the purpose of research. Having such specific information, written by professional authors, and being a .gov site meant for research makes Website B the better choice for researchers and

Web Pages Analysis

...Web Pages Analysis – Module 7 As the world of technology progresses every day, having a website has become crucial for businesses and schools. “With costs being extremely low at the entry level, it's becoming difficult to imagine a reason for any company of any size not to have a website.” [1] There are multiple benefits of having a website such as: save time and cost, increase sales, services, and accessibility, higher credibility, and so forth. For this research paper I will be analyzing six web pages. Based on the e-business I’m creating, three business pages I’m reviewing are: Essay Lab, Smart Writing Services and Ninja Essays. The remaining three web sites are: Suffolk Community College, Nassau Community College and Dr. Ebrahimi’s website. To begin with, Essay Lab is one of the three writing service businesses I’ve selected. The home page of this particular business is informative and gives a good idea of what the business is about and why would a person need to use their service. However, I feel more information to support their business could be provided. Another issue is the content is not direct to the point; instead it drags on causing lack of interest to the reader. Stating live chat availability and not actually providing it is another problem with the website which fails to meet the 7x2C standard of ‘Completeness and Coverage’. On the other hand, the navigation is consistent and effective. The organization of the website as well is intuitive and easy to...
