...can make our own breakfast and so on. Wireless Internet and airconditioning are also a must. So we start our search for the holiday at the websites of different travel agencies. These websites are very easy to use, you can check several points in the sideline which you find important and then a couple of possible holiday options are shown. But once we thought that we found a good option, we always look on www.zoover.nl. This is a review site with information on the locations, appartments, resorts and near surroundings, all by other travelers who has been there. So, consumers’ reviews and their experience stories. From these reviews you are exposed to a lot of other information, than the formal information on the websites of the travel agencies who only wants to sell the holiday. Positive remarks are made, but also negative topics are discussed. So after reading the reviews you can make the decision yourself to choose for that particular appartment/holiday or look further for another appartment/place. For example when a appartment complex is very noisy and the Wi-Fi connection is very bad, this will only become clear after reading the reviews. Travel agencies are not going to put that on their website, because they only want to sell or maybe even not are fully aware of this particular circumstances. I’m then glad with this review, because I’m not going to...

...1. Good Review – The good review I found was on goodreads.com for Life of Pi. The author of the review did not regurgitate the synopsis found on the back of the book nor laden the review with spoilers, but rather gave his/her opinion on the book, the narrative style, writing and structure and what was enjoyable about the book for him/her. 2. Bad Review – I found a bad review on amazon.com for The Girl on the Train. The reviewer, J.Regan, noted that the story was well written, that it keeps the reader’s attention but that the main character could be hard to like at times. There was no detail as to the writing style, nor why or how the author was able to keep reader’s attention. The reviewer also failed to explain why he/she did not like the main character at points in the book. With no further details, this review does not help someone interested in the book decide whether they may like it or not. 3. Fake Review – As I was looking for reviews on the book I’m reading for the critical review project, I Don’t Have a Thing to Wear: The Psychology of Your Closet, I found a title of a review that struck me as odd and the review itself was a bit over the top which to me comes off as fake. It was rated five stars and the review appears to be written by a girl’s boyfriend stating that “she can’t put it down” and “she just raves about it constantly” (Bouton, 2003). The one part that really puts me off about this review is that he says “and I wish I had a nickel for each time I've...

...A Study of Online Film Reviews’ Reliability and Watching Film’s Intention INTRODUCTION Today myriads of people search for information online rather than non-internet channels. According to the statistics reported by clickz.com (2005), the quantity of netizens has reached nine million in Taiwan. They make use of the internet to gain knowledge and search for information. Moreover, they also take advantage of the internet to browse the film reviews on film reviews’ websites. Among those netizens, a part of group is made up by college students. However, the deficient reliability of websites was found by college students. What exactly college students would have that thought in mind was the research purpose. As the computer technology grows rapidly, people are bombarded by a large reservoir of information which offers the marketers a challenge because “… as consumers adopt new technologies, their behaviors change” (Zinkhan, 1998). When college students want to see a movie, they check the online review website before they really go to that movie. Yet some of online comments are not matched to the reality. Because the comments on the film review website said the movie was good, the college students didn’t like the “good movie” which was commented on the website. Because of this situation, some people trust the comments on online film review but some do not. Within the extensive literature on the influence of online film review, little research has been done on...

...the Hanford area. The dinner crowd is always smaller and consists mostly of loyal local customers. Suzuki’s Teriyaki also sells several of their homemade sauces at the restaurant front desk. Currently, the only online presence for Suzuki’s Teriyaki is a facebook page and some reviews on Yelp.com. The reasons for Suzuki’s Teriyaki to increase its online presence are to expand, to control the cost of growth, to create awareness and to drive traffic. Expansion by creating a custom website will allow Suzuki’s Teriyaki to have another channel by which to sell its products and generate more dinner time restaurant traffic. The goal of increasing profit and revenue can be increased with a website that allows customers to place menu orders, browse menu item specials, buy custom sauces and make reservations for small and large groups. Creating a website can be much less expensive than opening another physical location. The online presence also reaches a national and international base. Many clients come to the Richland area from other parts of the country and from other nations and they research local areas to eat. Suzuki’s Teriyaki does not advertise and relies solely on word of mouth and loyal customers. The website would become a main part of the marketing effort and create awareness for prospective customers. Finally, foot...

...Associate Level Material Ratio Analysis Form Use the table on the next page to complete the Week Eight assignment. In this assignment, you will review the textbook to find the definitions for each ratio. Use the financial statements for Drs. Smith and Brown, located on the student website, to perform the calculations and complete the form. Review the following example on how to perform the inventory turnover calculation, which shows you how to complete the table. • Two different methods can determine the inventory turnover ratio. o Cost of goods sold—operating revenue of a hospital—divided by ending inventory o Total revenues plus net nonoperating gains divided by ending inventory This example uses the first method to perform the calculation. Because a hospital provides a service, we would find the number that reflects services provided. Total operating revenue reflects money that is earned for providing services. Locate the Statement of Net Income on the student website. Find the total operating revenue. This is $180,000. Then, locate the ending inventory number. To find the ending Inventory, use the Balance Sheet on the student website. The ending inventory number is 5000. Cost of goods sold—operating revenue: 180,000 divided by ending inventory of 5000; 180,000/5000 = 36 • Place this information in the table. You will do the same with the rest of the ratios. Take the result of your calculations and place in the grid, as in the example. • In...
